“The hotel is in a really nice area of Rethymno. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast, wasn’t what you’d expect at a 4star hotel.”

“Perfect for a week with family where we could relax, cook and eat together. Separate sleeping quarters meant our son with our young grandchildren had their own space. We all loved the gardens and pool, enjoyed making orange juice daily, and made good use of the charcoal bbq and pizza oven. Property better than described. Our small and medium rental cars were ok on the narrow winding roads and through villages. Do a grocery shop in any of the five supermarkets and butcher in Perama before you……

“My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated.”

“When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly front desk manager, who upgraded us without us even asking. A great experience unfortunately only for one night.”

“Huisje ligt heerlijk rustig op een groot stuk grond, met een eigen zwembad. Behalve vogels, pauwen en kikkers hoor je niets. De keukenuitrusting is erg basic. Twee gezellige katten. Wij hebben steeds bij Petrokino in Mixorouma gegeten, een paar minuten met de auto. Daarnaast zit de supermarkt/bakkerij.”

“Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la villa Ammos: propre, bien équipée, notamment de lits confortables, entourée de jolis jardins (herbes aromatiques et arbres fruitiers) et d'une piscine commune appartenant à une propriété très bien entretenue et proche en voiture des commodités (supermarché, route d'accès aux principaux sites touristiques). Hôtes discrets mais serviables et absolument charmants. Petit bémol sur la wifi, pas très stable.”

“Lovely place to stay! Comfortable, clean, well kept property. Property manager was so welcoming and helpful. On arrival there was a full, prepared meal for us, as well as home made bread! Additionally, there were all essentials such as bottled water, milk, juice, butter, and jam for breakfast the next morning. Beds and linens were excellent, and plenty of towels for the bath and pool. Pool and landscaping were lovely, and surrounding area was very scenic. We had a great stay, and suggestion……

The house was clean and very complete and the garden looked magical in the evening. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance is a supermarket, nice shops and excellent eateries. In short, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy!”
