There is a small rest area on highway 31 just south of Metaline Washington, where a short hike down a well marked trail takes you to a beautiful waterfall. This was in mid October as the foliage was starting to turn. A nice place for a little lunch.

"We loved the Hidden Moose. It was so nice and cozy. It had everything you could need. We were going out to dinner, but decided to stay in and grill. Enjoyed the back deck! Grilled burgers and played cards. Such a nice break from hotels. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in this area! Excellent host and very CLEAN!!!!"
