We took a couple of lovely walks from the property without having to get in the car. Would be nice suggestions: some basic kitchen condiments, hair dryer, screens, & a grab bar for the bathtub. We would definitely recommend & come back. "

"We had a fantastic stay at this peaceful oceanside property in Harpswell, Maine. The setup—with a main house, attached apartment, and a charming bunkhouse—was perfect for our two families and adult children. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind.The backyard is absolutely stunning, filled with beautiful flowers and lush grass, and it opens up to a tranquil ocean inlet. We especially loved the hammock spot, perfect for a good book or an afternoon nap, and the back porch quickly became our favorite place for evening cocktails under the stars.The crisp, clean Maine air and quiet surroundings made it the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. It’s also conveniently located—close to the Dolphin Restaurant (highly recommend), and just a short drive to Freeport, LL Bean, and local oystering and lobstering tours.Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all of our questions quickly and making sure we had everything we needed.This home is perfect for family gatherings or anyone looking to recharge in a peaceful, beautiful setting. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others."

"We really loved our days on and around Orr's Island. We enjoyed talking with lots of year-round and seasonal residents on both Orr's and neighboring Bailey Island. The house was very comfortable. Highlights nearby are the candy and ice cream shop just about a quarter-mile away, with homemade fudge etc.; and All Saints' Episcopal Church, a beautiful holy space that is opened for visitors some weekdays, with its amazing woodwork and nautical-themed stained-glass windows (and friendly people too--after going in on Thursday we went back for the service on Sunday). The church is even closer to the house than the candy store. And closest of all, the house's description doesn't call attention to something it should: a postcard-type view over Beal's Cove from the park that is literally just across the street, where you can also walk down to the shore of that cove to 100 yards or so of gravel beach (at low tide). This is the next cove over from the one that can be seen down the hill from some of the windows in the pictures."

"House was clean and well equipped. Able to cook our 26 lobsters and 2 crabs with the huge steamer pots. The location and view of the bay were outstanding. A tranquil place to relax - the hammock on the wrap around porch was icing on the cake! Easy to get to local attractions off of the island area. Neighbors were friendly. We had an amazing time, and would definitely go back. "

"This a gorgeous house with an amazing ocean view! It seems to be a cottage later extended with a high ceiling hall way and a modern kitchen. We enjoyed the best of the both worlds - the coziness of a cottage and the luxury of large modern high ceiling kitchen with professional grade stove and hood. The location is superb, easy access to everything while staying in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We had a wonderful 7 nights stay."

"We stayed there for 1 week in June and enjoyed every minute of it. Watching the tide come in and roll back out, the Maine lobster traps with their buoys floating on the water, and the beautiful sunrises out the window made for a totally relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We loved it so much, we will definitely be back. The kitchen is a good size for cooking at home when we wanted to, and there's plenty of restaurants close by that serve up delicious food and everyone is super nice. The outside picnic table is where we spent a lot of time eating meals and just watching the Atlantic. The only sounds you'll hear there are the happy chirping if the birds and the water in the rocks. "

"Great vacation spot. We came in from Wednesday through Saturday. Quick drive to town for dinner, groceries, etc. We only wish it was a bit warmer to be able to enjoy the deck and hammock outside. Loved this house!"

"Beautiful sunsets over the water!! Nice deck with table and chairs and large windows in living room and upstairs bedroom overlooking the water. Bedroom with twin beds is small and bedroom in basement is a bit stuffy but both are ok. You can walk along the beach when the tide is out and take dips when the tide is high. House was well supplied. We enjoyed our stay and had fun exploring the area! Be sure to eat at The Dolphin!"
