"We had a lovely week in Chalet Mon Sousou. Every morning we took the bus to the ski gondel, very convenient in front of the chalet. It is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood surrounded by neighbouring houses. Although the chalet has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and fully equipped, with 7 adults the house is a bit tight, but still cosy. "We hadn’t realised how far out at the end of a route Kandesteg was and as we were limited to the amount of hiking we could do had booked an overlong stay. We tried to shorten our visit but couldn’t do so without sacrificing our payment. The receptionist was unbelievably good. She spent an hour planning an itinerary for us and as a better room was available gave us a free upgrade The breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs and bacon if you were early and a good continental selection The dining room only opened on Friday and Saturday night and was slightly overly rich The Blumisalp across the street was much better and better value for eating"
