“The Windmill Farmhouse was the perfect spot for our family stay over the long Geode Fest weekend. The interior is filled with comfy furniture and thoughtful touches that made it easy to relax after hiking all day. My son especially loved the oversized cushion chairs! The location is out-of-the-way and quiet, but the roads are well-kept, and getting in and out to Keokuk, Nauvoo, and so on was a breeze! “I read the reviews of others and here's my experience. I did not have any bad smells and my son (who is allergic to cats) did not have any allergy issues. It is obviously an older property, so it's not a modern, freshly painted environment. Things are obviously used, but the renters have done a good job making the space usable and feel "homey". I am pretty easy to please, not a diva so the little grandma type accents I looked at as sweet and quaint. We loved that the dollar general was……
