Good rooms, very good breakfast, and one block from "downtown" Mora. The free coffee machine and tea in the lobby were especially appreciated. Also, the dala horse decorations in the room were fun. Dala horses are a main reason were came to Dalarna! Mora is small. This hotel is on the opposite side of town from the train station, but that's only a 1.5 km walk. The rooms are not air conditioned (we visited in summer), but the staff brought a portable fan to our room.

Very nice breakfast, good size room and comfy beds. Bit loud at the street side, but okay with windows closed. Bus stop directly in front of the hotel, 20 min on foot to the train station.

Hotel Fridhemsgaten & Mora were a big disappointment after traveling extensively through Scandinavia during the month of July. I discovered that the electronic lock to our room did not work leaving our belongings exposed. We had to change rooms. Coincidentally, a man was sitting in our room when we first checked in? Then the TV would only broadcast a TV channel for about 5 minutes and shut off. They could not fix it. Dining in Mora is pathetic and despite many articles, there are very few local craft stores. In fact, many store fronts were empty. The only reason for staying in Mora is close proximity to Nusnäs and sadly, there is controversy in Nusnäs, where the Nils Olsson Dala Horse company is now using robots to carve the horses. Thankfully, the competition, Grannas Olsson is still carving by hand. The Swedish government needs to intervene in the setbacks in this region of Sweden.

2 netter på dette hotellet kunne ikke blitt bedre. Utmerket frokost og også en utmerket buffé til kvelden. Rent og fint hele rommet. Alle som jobbet der var veldig hyggelige og de tipset oss også om hva vi kunne se i Mora området. Hvis jeg skal i disse områdene igjen så vet jeg hvor jeg skal bestille overnatting og jeg har ingen betenkeligheter med å anbefale det hotellet til andre. Neste gang blir det nok å bestille rom lengst fra veien fordi det er en del‘’rånere ‘’ i området som har biler til kr 10-15 tusen og lydanlegg til 100 tusen som det er VELDIG viktig å få kjørt gata opp og ned flere ganger om natten og helt til morran slik at folk får hørt lyden på anlegget deres. Er ikke sikkert at rom lengst fra veien hjelper mot lyden men det blir litt lenger unna om ikke så mye. MEN Uansett så kommer vi tilbake hvis behov. 👍👍👍
