Great family trip!
The owner does a great job of letting you know what to expect when you get down there which was much appreciated. YES - the boat ramp is very steep and to walk from the bottom of the ramp to the house is quite a task - not for young kids, elderly or anyone with joint problems! That being said, we had no issues putting our boat in every day there. The directions that she gives to the actual house could have used some updating since it's a bit confusing to get to. The house was very clean, with all of the basics that you'll need. The back deck was a really relaxing place to hang out, especially to have a meal under the nice ceiling fan out there. For grocery that's close, your best bet is the IGA. If you need a full grocery trip, you'll be headed 30 mins to Somerset. Overall, this was a great trip with a host that is incredibly nice, cares, and was VERY quick to respond in all cases. Thank for sharing your home with us!

Such a great stay!
Absolutely loved staying here. Close to the water. Even if you didn’t have a water day, there’s plenty to do just at the cabin. Will definitely book again!

Past Reviews Misleading
Not pleased with boat ramp, but used. Owner said there was a turn around at top of hill. There is, but not big enough for a pickup truck pulling a pontoon, so we had to back all the way down the hill to ramp which is very steep and surrounded by cliffs. Even looked for another ramp to use close by, but could not find any. Definitely not a ramp for an inexperienced driver. The worst part though is that several previous reviews indicated that the best thing about this place was that there was a dock for your boat. The only docks around were private docks that had a locked gate blocking us from them and one marked "no tresspassing. Contacted owner on how to access dock and was told no dock included in rental. This is not the kind of ramp where you want to take your boat in and out of lake - so we did what we had to do to leave boat in water. Very upsetting - owner needs to specify that there is no longer a dock to use, or take the reviews saying that there is off of their listing. House was clean and no complaints other than could not get TV to do anything but play DVD's.

Lake Lover’s Paradise
We celebrated our 23rd Anniversary at this property and it didn’t disappoint. We only used the upstairs as our other family couldn’t make it. The lake was down about 20+ feet so the stairs were a beast to get up after a day of boating. However, we loved every minute of it. Thanks for helping us make another anniversary for the books.

Amazing first trip to Lake Cumberland!
This house is a gem. Everything is clean and well-cared for. The hostess is super-communicative. The covered deck is great as is the fire pit. Even the main appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer) are nice. The house is a walk/short drive to a boat ramp and is only a 10 minute boat ride from Conley Bottom Marina where you can rent jet skis, boats, etc. This was our family's first trip to Lake Cumberland and we hope to come again! One note - the house numbers on the street are not in order...you have to go all the way down the road, close to the boat ramp, to get to the house. Also, internet is a little spotty on the roads leading up to the house so you may want to print or write down directions before you leave! Once you get there the WiFi is great and phone service on the Lake is not an issue. Thanks to the hosts for such a great stay!

Lake Cumberland Getaway
The home was clean, and the neighbors were friendly! The owner was quick to respond to our calls. There were four adults in our party. One couple had the upstairs bed and bath; the other couple used the downstairs bed and bath. (We did not need the third bedroom which is downstairs.) The location near the lake was excellent. Since we brought our boat, we appreciated the use of the owner's slip at the neighborhood dock. The home is located on a hill so the narrow, gravel driveway is a little steep, but we managed. The ramp to the lake is very steep (nothing the owners can do about that). I enjoyed my morning coffee while sitting on the large swing on the lower deck. We appreciated the large, gas grill on the upper deck. Our trip was cut short, so we didn't get to enjoy the firepit but it looked very nice. Next time perhaps!

Loved it! - Michiganders visit Kentucky
We stayed for 5 nights here. We are from Michigan and planned our vacation here and met up with friends from Tennessee. We had 2 adults and 3 kids under age 4. The house is mostly updated. Easy to use appliances. Clean linens, 2 living areas on upper and lower floor with tvs, open floor plan on main floor, grill, large back porch and outdoor seating, washer and dryer, supplied kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms. We enjoyed evenings by the fire, played cornhole, swinging from the porch, enjoyed the friendly wildlife, including deer. Many games and activities and extra linens were available for us. The view at the lake/river was gorgeous once we made it down the steep hill. Local residents and visitors were all very welcoming and nice. The lake isn't necessarily swimmable at the shore, especially for kids, but we enjoyed a trip to the nice local Pulaski County Beach. The description and pictures matched and met our expectations. Very peaceful and comfortable setting outside and indoors. We thoroughly enjoyed and relaxed during our stay.

Great, Family Fun!
We took our family here for a lake getaway and the location and stay were wonderful! Clean, great location, and plenty of fun! We have children ranging from 6-12 and it was close to the water (and close to the marina, they made it very convenient for renting boats!) just remember good shoes if you plan to walk up and down the hill for the boat launch.

Lake Cumberland Boating Paradise
The cabin perfectly suited our group of eight - two families of four. While not on the lake there was plenty of room to play safely outside, an awesome deck/fire pit area and 'connectivity' to both work remotely and entertain the kids. For our trip the highlight was the boat slip, safely tucked in a cove, allowing us to maximize our time on Lake Cumberland. It was incredible! If you aren't familiar with the area (we weren't) trailer in with caution as the boat ramp turn around it tight, and the hill is steep. But this area of the lake is so worth it! There was also plenty of room to store the trailer safely at the cabin too. Otherwise communication with Melissa was excellent - quick and detailed. Overall, we had a perfect time at the property.

Relaxing getaway on the lake
If you’re looking for a place off the beaten path then this is for you. It seemed like we had the whole neighborhood to ourselves until the weekend traffic rolled in. There was a couple of small hiccups but Ron and Melissa went above and beyond to take care of the issues and us. I would definitely rent from then the next time we visit the Cumberland area.

Great location for #LakeLife
Melissa was great to deal with and was easily accessible when needed. The house was VERY clean and the location was perfect if you have your own boat or are using Conley Bottom. We rented a deck boat from there and arranged for pick up from the community dock. This has to be arranged the day before and then you call when you are ready for pickup between 8:00-8:30AM. They will bring you back anytime before 8:00PM if you want to stay at the marina for dinner and only charge $25 for your group. There is also a boat ramp right there and they have a great boat dock…literally a 5 minute walk. Just remember, Cumberland is beautiful but part of its beauty is the cliffs. That means the walk down to the boat ramp and dock is a walk down which means the walk back is a walk up… Overall a great experience and had exactly what we needed for our family of 4. A clean place to rest our heads after a fun day on the lake with a washer and dryer to clean our towels to be ready to do it again the next day!
