Reviewer Comments: After over a year of cancellations and planning, we didn't go, daughter got Covid on the Friday we were supposed to depart for Taranaki. Couldn't even get part of a refund of $1200. Easiest $1200 I am sure they have ever kind.

We were 4 adults and kids - super pleased the property was totally fenced so we could all rest easy there were no escapees. Quality brilliant for adults to relax. Two minute walk to beach, playground, walkways, coffee and pizza. Buller Bungalow was well equipped. A little maintenance is required around the property which I have informed the managers. Overall a fab stay would recommend to family or a group of friends

Seemed to be blocked.

Disappointing

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is in a great location and can sleep 8 people reasonably comfortably (including 3 kids in a small room with a set of bunks). The manager was very responsive to our need to alter the booking due to Covid. Unfortunately the experience at the house was pretty disappointing for what was a pretty hefty fee (over $1200 for 3 nights for 6 people). Within minutes of arrival we had a tradesman banging on the door come to fix the tv- it’s really unclear why that couldn’t be done before we arrived, shortly after our son came out with a door handle in hand which my partner had to reattach - several door handles were quite wobbly. There was no lock on the bathroom door and only one bedside light in the main bedroom, no hairdryer, one tiny tetrapak ofmilk in the fridge and one dishwasher tablet in the cupboard. Despite the hefty “cleaning fee” the day before we left we received an email directing us to strip the bedding before we left. I would expect this low level of hospitality if I were staying in a $150 a night bach but not for such a relatively expensive rental. It is a brilliant location but falls well short of many of the other great places we have stayed in in terms of thoughtfulness and hospitality.... And the neighbour has wind chimes positioned right next to the main bedroom window... which in a coastal spot on the west coast means you can expect to hear frequent, intermittent chiming through out the night...

Great base to enjoy New Plymouth

Great location, only moments from the beach. Whilst we visited mid-winter it was great to see the rugged coast and windy seas - would be awesome in summer I am sure. Great weekend with family from overseas.

Awesome location, right by the walkway, close to town. Really lovely house, comfortable beds, heaps of space, great heating for a winter holiday. There was plenty of room for the whole family to have some space to themselves, but also a great living area for when we all wanted to be together. Would definitely stay again.

It felt stingy-not a welcoming kiwi-bach eg charging $40 for a highchair. Shower VERY slow to drain-took 20mins-so we ended up standing in 10cm water while showering.There were light bulbs missing and VERY low wattage so hard to read under at night. 2 spares were supplied but no ladder. There was no tea even though the pre-email said it was supplied.No hairdryer supplied-we were informed about this in pre-email but again seems stingy. On positive note- lovely feather duvets and warm gas-fire.
