“This was a weekend get away for me and my adult sons. I had spent a lot of time in WV (mostly caving) when I was in my 20's like them and love the area. We had a wonderful time and the Bear Valley Cabin was our home away from home. The house had everything we needed including a grill for our foil packs and steaks, a fire pit to sit around at night as well as the chairs with oil lamp to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds in the morning and evening. “Great stay, cabin had everything we needed and the firewood on property was nice. Plenty of room for the dog to roam outside and we left tick free, which is always a plus. Park bench in front of your personal falls went great with the morning coffee. Blackwater falls was a fun trip. The path down is on the back side of the parking lot beside the snake shop. It's a trek down to the falls, be prepared. Douglas and Albert falls was a good time, when you get there. Getting back to Douglas……
