Peace, tranquility & privacy are all wrapped up in this walled & gated estate in the sought after Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood tucked between the Deepwell and Warm Sands neighborhoods.
This home is described as an idyllic home away from home. As the winner of a Certificate of Excellence, it's one of the top vacation rentals in Palm Springs. And, 100% of the 140+ reviews are all five-star.
This is a Paul Truesdale designed home. The décor, both inside and out, pays homage to the quintessential mid-century esthetic which is such a trademark of Palm Springs in a thriving garden setting.
For starters, there’s the dreamy pool (heated during cool weather months), hot-tub & fire pit front yard area with amazing close-up mountain views. Then, there’s that incredible decor both inside & out highlighting only the best of mid-century furniture & stunning art collection. Surely, the ideal location in highly sought-after South Palm Springs has something to do with it too! This home is tucked between Deepwell and Warm Sands, which is just a short walk or drive to the downtown galleries, shops & Palm Springs restaurants. Finally, there are the 3 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, private & serene garden patio areas (8 in total!) guaranteeing that however you spend your Palm Springs days, your nights will be spent in pure star-gazing luxury. Your time spent in this home will truly be a tranquil escape from the outside world.
The neighborhood is perfect for taking an early morning or late afternoon stroll. Hiking trails are nearby (both Indian Canyon and Tahquitz Canyon are favorites). (But leaving might be hard, when the lovely accommodations make living so easy!)
It’s the perfect place to de-compress from the everyday world. You’ll wonder whether this home grew out of the same seeds that sprouted the surrounding tranquil & impressive gardens. Here the boundaries separating you from nature are dissolved, whilst being in one of the most famous places in the world.
You'd be forgiven for spending your whole time here in a lazy haze. Start your day with coffee out by the pool before a stroll through the gardens to find a secluded spot. If that sounds a bit too chilled out, head downtown to eat, shop, gamble or explore. There are plenty of ways to while away the sun-soaked hours at this heavenly hideaway. Or embarking on one of many recreational past times, from riding horseback or hot-air ballooning through the early morning desert sunrise or discovering ancient Indian oasis's, this is the desert all others try to become.
The experience begins with the walled, hedged and gated entrance. Enter through the Breeze Block entrance into a garden oasis of mature trees, twin palms and desert planting.
The garden is surrounding the pool, hot-tub and fire-pit located in the “front” of the home as you enter. Feel the Ahhhh.
Remodeled in 2015, the 7-foot-deep pool/ HOT TUB and FIRE-PIT add to the already amazing house. All outdoor areas, including the gardens and patios, offer magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. NO ELECTRICAL WIRES. NO AIRPORT NOISE.
This completely private pool area will take your breath away. A thick private hedge along with “layers” of plants will all take you by surprise.
Inside, this home is peppered with artwork throughout, including desert scapes as well as contemporary pieces.
The master bedroom wing was remodeled in 2019. The bedroom is furnished with a Cal-King bed. The vaulted ceiling, along with the disappearing corner sliding door that looks out to the gardens and pool, makes this a stunning room. The master bedroom includes many luxuries…
• An outdoor atrium where you can drink your morning coffee in while enjoying the desert specimen planter box.
• A Kohler heated soaking tub to decompress.
• A shower with double rain-head shower heads complete with body sprays to luxuriate.
• A private fully equipped master bathroom with a second outdoor shower that looks out to the Plumeria Garden.
Closet space is not a worry as there is plenty of space in the provided renter’s closet with closet organizers to make your unpacking easy.
The guest wing has two additional bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms to accommodate family and friends.
• Bedroom #2 has two sliding doors allowing direct access to the pool, hot-tub, gas fireplace a second private outdoor shower and outdoor living room with panoramic desert views. The ensuite bathroom has a recently remodeled walk-in shower.
• Bedroom #3 has two twin beds and direct access to the private patio overlooking the Agave garden. This ensuite bathroom also has a walk-in shower with an operable window.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The laundry room has a maximum capacity washer/dryer and a laundry sink. You will love doing laundry here!!!
Two instant water heaters take care of all your hot water needs from the kitchen sink to all bathrooms.
WIFI extenders ensure that the Spectrum internet connection is strong both indoors and out.
This home has two new heat and air-conditioning units (one for each side of the home) along with two swamp coolers (evaporative coolers) to keep you cool on warm days.
Cooking will be enjoyable in the fully stocked kitchen. All appliances are new and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare meals.
A Keurig coffee maker, a French Press and a Mr. Coffee are all available for your cup-of-Joe.
A gas BBQ is waiting for your grilling pleasure.
Each of the three dining locations with seating for 6, can be either poolside, in the back garden or indoors in the dining room.
This home has 4 Smart TV’s. The Media Room has a 65-inch Smart TV. Complimentary Netflix is provided as well as Max and Prime. Other TV apps are available. The Sonos music bar allows you to listen to music throughout the house. Board games are also available for your enjoyment.
There is a rolling gate installed from the street into the auto court & covered and lighted driveway area. Plus, there is a call box that rings into the home and a pedestrian gate into pool area from auto court. All provide greater security & increased privacy.
There is secured & lighted parking for 3 cars all of which are covered spots.
