I'd booked the higher floor terrace flat. There was a really bad smell of cigarettes in the flat - all over the bedding and extremely foul smell in the microwave to the extent that it could not be used.
My guess is the flat was used by heavy smokers and drinkers before as there was tissue paper stuffed in the smoke alarms in the bedroom and in the living room to prevent the alarm from going off due to smoke.
While the flat itself is new and the amenities are good, there is no governance to make the sure the flat is used by legitimate tourists. Also, something to note - there is no parking, which to be fair was already known to me at the time of booking. They did explain that I could park on the street after 6pm until the morning and then did tell me that the nearest car part was at the station (which is a 10-12min) walk.
The biggest turnoff was the severe smoke smell and the fact that they could send anyone to sort out the smell at the night. Net day after two phone calls they did get the bedding changed, but it took three phone calls (one in the night and then two the next day). So not good service.
If the management wants, I can provide pictures of the tissue paper which we found stuffed in the smoke alarm when we stayed at this place.
