Staying at Ginger Hotel was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most stressful, frustrating, and deeply unpleasant accommodation experiences I have ever endured. When booking a room at a established chain brand like Ginger—a hotel operating under the umbrella of IHCL—one reasonably expects a reliable baseline of hygiene, functional amenities, and standard hospitality ethics. Unfortunately, my recent stay proved to be an absolute nightmare from start to finish, characterized by severe cleanliness hazards, nonsensical operations, and a shocking display of staff apathy.
Pest Infestations and Ignored Hygiene Standards
The most revolting aspect of the stay was the presence of cockroaches in the room. Discovering bugs in a hotel room is inherently unacceptable, but what made the situation far worse was the hotel's complete indifference to resolving it. Shortly after checking in, I noticed cockroaches crawling around the room. I immediately alerted the front desk and housekeeping team, requesting a comprehensive pest control treatment or a proper spray down of the room. The staff assured me they would address it immediately.
Hours passed, and nothing was done. No one came to inspect the room, no treatment was applied, and the pests remained. I was left to sleep in an environment where hygiene was severely compromised. Requesting basic pest control for an active infestation isn't an unreasonable demand; it is fundamental to basic public health and hospitality standards.
