PROPERTY NOT AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!
If they allowed me more characters here in this space, I can describe exactly what was wrong with this property. On top of the deception of the listing per the photos, the 2nd bedroom is I believe, illegal. Furthermore, the street address was not given to us by the host until we had paid. The neighborhood is sketchy, with several abandoned homes adjacent with signs that say they are unsafe, and are boarded up and yellow taped. I would not feel safe here as a woman, my sister felt very unsafe alone there. We left one hour after arrival as it also smelled of smoke.
It won't let me send a link but if you google "what is the definition of a bedroom in Pittsburgh" you will find that the so-called 2nd bedroom in this home is illegal. There is no egress from the bedroom to the outside. What would you do in case of a fire or some other emergency that you needed to exit the bedroom quickly?
When I contacted the host and said we felt unsafe there (the neighboring homes looked like squatters or crack heads might be there) and that the house was falsely advertised, she answered by calling me a racist. I offered to pay 50% of the fee/split the costs with her and asked for a 50% refund but she refused.
I would NEVER recommend this house to anyone.
