Really nice staff there. The room was also very clean and the bed super comfy. Only negative is the fact that we hear the street a lot. Like if the windows were oppenend. Not a lot of traffic in the night so it was still acceptable. We also did not receive the details of the instructions over email like we were supposed too, so we had to call the owner to get into our room the first time.

This was a perfect place for my stay. Walking distance to beaches and food. Staff were lovely and helpful. Ocean view room was awesome, especially to wake up to and to close the day. Coffee and tea are included, espresso machine is great. Luisa is on site and very helpful, ask her anything! Andrea and Noela are around and very nice. I had room #7 and it was great, spacious, lots of hangers 😁, great bathroom with a bidet, shower was a good size and the hot water was perfect. Two firm and two feather pillows on the bed, extra blankets that you don't need, ac is self controlled. Quiet too. Overall I would recommend this Inn.

This hidden gem is a wonderful place where our spotless clean and comfortable room by the ocean made our one week stay amazing. Lovely and delicious breakfast included by the terrace and a spa on it are awesome perks as well. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

We had a wonderful, spotless room with a private, modern bathroom and a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Beautiful! Although we had a late arrival (after 10:00 pm), Luisa stayed up for us and helped us to our room. She welcomed us and then walked us to a nearby restaurant, since we hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and joined us for a bite to eat. Really! After 10:00 pm! Luisa was very helpful throughout our week long stay. She directed us to a small grocery, gave restaurant recommendations and even made reservations for us one evening. The property was just a short Uber ride away from Ponta Delgado and many restaurants. We took several excursions during the week and our drivers picked us up at our Inn. Garoupas Inn was perfect for our needs, and Luisa could not have been more helpful. Thank you, Luisa! Tony and Betty

Peaceful paradise

We had a lovely stay at the Inn--slept so peacefully and comfortably, enjoyed delicious breakfasts, the magnificent whirlpool and best of all, the staff at the Inn are so sweet and helpful! They were really a bright spot of our trip to the Azores. They brought us canteloupe out to the whirlpool for us and helped us greatly when we had a mishap. Strongly recommend this place. Very cozy, clean, homey.

A quant and unique find close enough to the city to get there hassle free but tucked away enough to feel connected to the beautiful natural surroundings (it’s located along water). Additional qualities of note: clean, cozy, and reasonably priced with really kind hosts who are knowledgeable about the island :) Book it! You won’t regret it

I could easily write paragraphs long reviews but am limited by characters. Thank you so much for having a kind, welcoming, and inviting inn. The shared kitchen is organized so nicely, the living space and deck are right at the waterfront - mere steps to the ocean and a five minute walk to a public swimming point. Our balcony overlooked all of this and we enjoyed sunsets night after night. The staff were so friendly - incredibly knowledgable, giving, caring and fun! Thank you Luisa for helping us in every way possible - with your help we were able to experience Cozido and preplan things we had initially overlooked and would have missed. You made us feel very welcome and reminded us of home 🇨🇦 And to Andrea for making our mornings very fun, teaching me some Portuguese and giving an aunthetic glimpse into Azorean life. Our room had a great AC unit, the bed was very comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. There is a lovely patio that features a cozy patio set, longer dining tables and a hot tub! I thought I wouldnt care so much about the hot tub with it being a warm weather country, but at night listening to the Cagarro and watching the sunset over the ocean in the hot tub was perfect. Parking was relatively easy to find along the street and there are many community cats nearby if you are a feline lover. This was our favourite place we stayed, it gave us a truly unforgettable experience. Obridgada ❤️❤️

We had one of the rooms that faced the street but the deck with the hot tub faced the ocean. We used it every day. The ladies that cared for the place were super. Thanks so much for great care!

Beautiful place to stay, the view was beyond amazing the owners and the staff were incredible, made sure we had everything we needed and more. Loved the breakfast, jacuzzi and the evening conversations it actually felt like being with family. We will definitely be back and will definitely look forward to staying at Garoupa Inn

A nice B&B with the ocean view in Sao Rouge away from Ponta Delgada but close to the airport without airport noise. Nice staff cook breakfast to your order. Parking is a bit tricky need to jump the sidewalk curb but a little easier after few times. Two restaurants (Cais 20 and Forte Terrace) nearby are in walking distance and food and services are so good, we went back several times during our six nights stay.

I can’t say enough about our great hosts and wonderful stay. They were helpful with tips and directions and the complimentary bottle of wine was such a nice touch. We only stayed one night but wish we were able to stay longer. Highly recommend!

The best place to stay. Strongly recommend.

It was my best place to stay in touring ever. The room is very clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet close to airport. The room had everything I need. Even more than I need. There're a bottle of wine, coffee, tea, air condition, wifi, several towels in various sizes and terrace with table and chair. The house is beautiful, and breakfast is perfect! And the best part is hosts of this inn. They are warm-hearted, friendly, kind and wonderful people. I just stayed here for 1 night, but I feel like they are my family. They are the best hosts. I had some troubles at midnight, they helped me devotedly. I could resolve the problem successfully due to their help. I also received many helps about the travel in the island from them. So staying here makes Ponta del gada beautiful and perfect place in my memory. It was lovely place, and it gave me meaningful memory. I won't forget forever. Thank you, and see you again someday.

Nous avons été superbement accueilli par Luisa qui nous a donné de judicieux conseils sur les visites à faire et les bonnes tables à découvrir. L'emplacement au bord de la mer est génial avec des points de vue magnifiques et des petites plages à proximité. Une petite pépite bien cachée avec une hôte en or. We had an amazing stay! Luisa gave us a wonderful welcome and shared great local tips on things to do and places to eat. The beachfront location is perfect, offering stunning views and lovely nearby beaches. A true hidden gem with an outstanding host. Highly recommended !
