Experience the jungle of Costa Rica!! Direct oceanfront property for 8 guests.

The vacation rental name " Villa Mar a Lago" is because our property has direct ocean access in front and direct lake access on the back side, it is located in the central Pacific region of Costa Rica in a large sandy beach. Beautiful and wild beach with hundreds of coconuts trees along the 14 km sand beach. On its back a spectacular mangrove recognized for its great variety of birds and wildlife.
This "Mediterranean" style house totals 2.830 square feet of living area with a total of 4 bedrooms.
Some of the many amenities includes direct beach front access direct lake front, wonderful views, big swimming pool, green area, gardens
The house features: 1 Master bedroom with flat screen tv 42, 1 king size bed, jacuzzi, double sink, shower, closet, terrace.
Second bedroom: flat screen tv. 32 , 1 king size bed, shower, closet.
Third bedroom: 1 twin size bunk bed, small jaccuzi/ shower and balcony.
Studio: Space for 2 guests, one king size bed and full equipped kitchen
Kitchen: full equipped kitchen, poggen polh furniture, microwave, dish washer, refrigerator with ice maker.

The house was amazing! Staying here felt so luxurious for our family of 4. We enjoyed being a 1 minute walk from the house to get to the beach. The hammocks strung under coconut trees were a highlight. Lusi made us feel welcome, greeting us with a smile and making sure we were taken care of. Such great hospitality! We also enjoying the pool and seeing the monkeys pass through once or twice a day. My daughter really enjoyed drinking from coconuts too. We would definitely stay here again and miss it already! Truly a paradise!

We had such a beautiful stay at Mar a Lago. Everything in the house was perfect and the grounds are stunning. Luci should be added as an amenity because we so enjoyed her food and company. We would certainly return here for another stay.

Fantastic property! Luis and Lucy, the caretakers were amazing people and helped us feel at home. This home is in a quaint town in between Jacó and Quepos and you do have to drive down a dirt beach road for 15 minutes to get there. The beach is pristine, Luis keeps the property perfect, monkeys walk through every night and morning and fresh coconuts, limes and yuca grow in the yard. Beds, a/c and kitchen all function well. Great for cooking and spending days there. Lucy helped us coordinate a horse riding experience that came to the house and get our friends from the airport midweek. Lucy also will cook for you for additional money and Luis got us many coconuts from the tree to keep us hydrated. You can walk straight out to the beach. It is very remote or you can lay in hammocks and see the the ocean from the yard. Our kids are 10 and 8 and I felt very safe. The ocean does have rip currents - so keep yourself and little ones in shallow water except for high tide. We saw monkeys, macaws, many types of birds, devil rays (not dangerous), toads, and a few loving dogs looking for snacks. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property! Thank you!

Maria was an excellent host very easy to contact and very helpful with several things I was trying to accomplish on this trip. The house and grounds were fabulous and the onsite caretakers were incredible and always available to assist with anything we needed. They did this all without being intrusive. The pool has to be one of the largest in the area. It was my favorite amenity.

This house was so beautiful with wide open spaces downstairs. The kitchen was easy to navigate and had what we needed to make a quick breakfast. Outside was a refreshing pool and the grounds were stunning. The massive beach was only a few meters away and the sunsets were breathtaking. Communication with the host was easy and Lucy was absolutely delightful!

Great place! Pictures don't do it justice. Quite the luxury for us. Beach and pool are great. Lucy and Luis are wonderful and made us feel completely at home. Check in was easy, kitchen is good. Nice space for us and our adult children. We would highly recommend it. We'd go back in an instant.

We loved our stay at Mar a Lago! The house was beautiful and located right on the beach! But the highlight of our stay was Lucy and Luis who took such good care to make sure we felt at home. Lucy was the best cook so make sure you have her cook as often as you can! And tell them we said hello :) A must stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront property! The house is exactly as described – spacious, clean, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Having direct access to the beach was incredible. We enjoyed our walks along the shore and afternoons lounging by the private pool.The location is peaceful and quiet, with plenty of privacy. One of the highlights was the natural surroundings – we regularly saw monkeys in the trees and heard birds all around. It really felt like a private paradise.It’s also a great home base for exploring the area. We took easy day trips to Manuel Antonio, waterfalls, and other local attractions, and always looked forward to returning to this calm, beautiful retreat.Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape with easy access to some of Costa Rica’s best sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 5 stayed a week at this beach house and we loved it! We had so much privacy and were the only people on the beach. It is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the drive! Lucy was an amazing host and made us feel very comfortable.

Beautiful vacation property-just as described and more!

Villa Mar Lago is a comfortable, spacious, well kept beach front villa...exactly as stated and shown in the VRBO pictures. Lucy and Luis, the onsite caretakers, are a pleasure in every way...from the property condition to the meals Lucy prepared, their helpfulness and kindness is much appreciated. Lucy and Luis take the best care of the property and were most welcoming upon our arrival to the villa. The beach is secluded and private black sand with a beach front palm frond umbrella and hammocks strung between the palms by the beach. The villa was clean, the beds comfortable, sleeps 8 comfortably in 3 bedrooms each with its own bath and a separate cabana with kitchen/LR area with a 4th bedroom. Birds and monkeys can be found in the trees, a local restaurant 5 km back toward town offered great meals as well. Quepos is about 50 minutes away, Parritas 20 minutes for groceries. For a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation, stay at Villa Mar Lago. We would definitely return some day!

Family Vacation

My husband, I and our 4 kids (3 teenagers and 1 college age) stayed here for a week and loved it! We liked that it is out of the city, we loved being able to go back and forth from the ocean to the pool, and the property is very well maintained!!

Private and perfect beach stay!

This home is perfect for those who want to have a private getaway. Off the beaten path…literally off dirt road, but once there you will have all the amenities in this gorgeous, sprawling home. On the beach with large pool. Lucy & Luis make the stay comfortable and informative. Coconut drinks in the morning, pointing out monkeys and birds on property and making a traditional Costa Rican dinner upon request. This property is beautiful, ocean on one side and a river on the other. The property is very well maintained and the hosts (Lucy and Louis) were amazing. This place has 3 bedrooms which all have there own ensuite. A separate building with king bed, kitchen, bathroom and sitting area.

Amazing stay

There isn’t enough words! The house, location, pool, beach were all perfect! Lucy and Luis are amazing! We made lifetime friends with them. They are sweethearts, so helpful, brought us coconut water, showed us the fruit trees, got us to see the monkeys, and Lucy cooked some delicious food for us. We would definitely stay here again !!!!

Absolutely amazing stay in paradise!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful beachfront property! We arrived in the evening during a rainstorm so Luis and Lucy, let us settle in until the next morning when they greeting us with fresh cocunuts. I can't speak highly enough about Luis and Lucy. They were outstanding caretakers and truly made our stay one to remember. Lucy cooked a few traditional Costa Rican meals for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. She also let us know when there were monkeys nearby for us to view, one had a baby that was super cute! The beach was wonderful and we saw very few people out there, often times we were the only ones present. If you enjoy being in paradise away from large crowds this is your place! We can't wait to return!

Great place to unwind

Couldn’t have chosen a better place to unwind. Last part of the road is pretty rough but once you get there, Luis and Lucy take excellent care of you. Very warm caretakers and they are there for every need - which we hardly had. They even treated us to fresh tender coconut water and juicy pineapple slices. We had a nice catered (paid) meal made by Lucy. Beach was great though the kids couldn’t go deep in, due to the scare of riptide signs. They simply loved being in the pool and enjoying the place.
