A few miles outside of Santa Fe with vistas in every direction, the home is full of Western memorabilia and artifacts. It is also spacious and comfortable. Our host was quick to respond and very helpful. I enjoyed reading the history of the property. It was very quiet and peaceful here, and we loved the 360 degree views. We went out to see the amazing stars every night and enjoyed watching thunderstorms in the distance on several nights. The home is decorated very nicely, and we had fun looking at all of the pictures and books throughout the house. There were no animals sighted beyond birds and horses. Two of the evenings brought a quick thunderstorm which was just beautiful. The third night we were able to see an expanse of stars. The house was a little farther from town, trees, and amenities than we realized. Additionally, the dirt road dissuaded us from coming and going. We left in the morning and returned with supper to stay in for the evening. The home is lovely. We both thought the house was hot and sat/slept in front of fans with the windows open in the evenings. You feel like there is nothing around you but miles of ranch land, and that is pretty close to the truth. Yet, only about a half hour drive to the Plaza in Santa Fe. We so enjoyed the incredible furnishings (so much art and southwest flavor throughout!), the enhanced relaxation that came with being out in the country, and the balm for the spirit that we felt in this tranquil setting. We heard coyotes howl and crows caw, we enjoyed the mystery of the petroglyphs on the property, and we especially enjoyed watching the dramatic lightning storms dancing in the distance. The commute to the sights of Santa Fe is very easy, and nearby Eldorado has several conveniences if you find yourselves, like we did, wanting to languish in the soul-soothing ambiance of this sweet spot. ##### Betsy F.
