The Space:  
Raintree Farmstay by Tiny Away sits in the quiet town of Sarsfield, just 12 minutes from Bairnsdale and 20 minutes from the popular holiday destination of Paynesville—renowned as the boating capital of the region and ideal for anglers, windsurfers, jetskiers, and water skiers. Nearby attractions also include Mitchell River Tavern, Eagle Point, and Lakes Entrance Beach, just 31 minutes away.  
  
A cozy 190-square-foot tiny home featuring a lofted queen-sized bed and a convertible single bed couch on the ground floor; sleeps up to 3 guests. Enjoy easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.  
  
IMPORTANT NOTE: Our farm stay is on a working property near the Great Alpine Road, so you may hear occasional animal and traffic noise as part of the authentic rural experience.  
  
Guest Access:  
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except the land host's private residence. What's more, this countryside getaway is the closest Bairnsdale Accommodation!  
  
The Neighborhood:  
Raintree Farmstay by Tiny Away is located in Sarsfield, just 12 minutes from Bairnsdale and 20 minutes from the popular holiday destination, Paynesville.   
  
Looking for great spots to explore? Check out Little Red Bucket in Metung, or enjoy a hearty breakfast at David Lucke’s Grocer in Bairnsdale. Eagle Point is a charming tourist town with two caravan parks—Eagle Point Caravan Park and Lake King Caravan Park. Lakes Entrance Beach is also a favorite, known for its stunning waters.  
  
While you’re out and about, don’t miss the scenic Sunny Banks Vineyard & Olive Grove overlooking the Tambo River or the rustic charm of Sarsfield Estate Winery. When it’s time to unwind, Mitchell River Tavern is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal with full table service.  
  
Getting Around:  
By car :   
  
\- Bairnsdale is 12 min drive  
\- Paynesville is a 20 min drive  
\- Melbourne is a 3hr 30 min drive  
\- Lakes Entrance is a 30 min drive  
\- Nearest supermarkets are Woolworths, Coles, IGA, which is a 20 min drive  
  
By public transport: We recommend guest travel by private vehicle, but if you're on a budget we can show you how to travel from each of those locations to Sarsfield, VIC using public transport:  
  
\> Bairnsdale to Sarsfield  
  
\- You can take a train from Bairnsdale to Sale  
\- Please check the V/Line website for current schedules.  
\- From Sale, you’ll need to take a bus to Sarsfield. Check local bus services like the Latrobe Valley Bus Lines for routes and times.  
  
\> Paynesville to Sarsfield  
  
\- You can start with a bus from Paynesville to Bairnsdale. This service is often operated by the local bus service, so check the timetable.  
\- From Bairnsdale, follow the train and bus directions mentioned above.  
  
\> Melbourne to Sarsfield  
  
\- You can take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Bairnsdale.  
\- Once in Bairnsdale, transfer to a local bus heading to Sarsfield.  
  
Additional Tips:  
  
\- Remember to always check the latest schedules and routes, as they can change.  
\- You may also consider using transport apps or websites for real-time updates.  
  
Other Things to Note:  
\- Required to call upon booking confirmation and on check-in date  
\- No Pets Allowed on the property  
\- Mobile reception is good for Telstra  
\- No Unregistered guests or visitors allowed  
\- No Smoking Allowed inside the tiny home or on the property  
\- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission  
\- Please be advised that we have livestock (and noise) on our property. If you'd like to interact with our animals please let us know.  
  
Important note:  
  
\- No BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban  
\- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay  
\- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

#### Nice view out the front door

Tiny home was nice (but dusty). The view out of the front door matched the photos on the site. We loved sitting by the fire outside and looking very specifically in the direction where there was trees, and water in the neighbouring property. The rest of the property was strewn with junk and cars, which was disappointing.
