"We thoroughly enjoy the authentic experience and hospitality at Ishibekoji MUAN.
Would highly recommend to other looking for the traditional old town vibe, with close proximity to all the attractions."
"Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes.
However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though.
The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and...

"Great stay! Very modern, clean, plenty of in-room amenities, and really helpful staff. The location was also unbeatable, right inside Kyoto station. The executive lounge is one of the best we’ve stayed at, they offer cocktails (on top of self serve options) and all the food, coffee/matcha, other drinks, and desserts were very good. The breakfast buffet at Le Temps had great western and Japanese offering.
The only con is they have really small pillows "
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Shinkansen station and is centrally located near many popular attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The air conditioning worked perfectly — a big plus after a warm day of sightseeing!
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and like everywhere in Japan, the customer service was top notch. We were also able to drop off our luggage early, and the process was smooth and easy to arrange. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!"
"Excellent location within shopping mall, with adjacent door into 7 eleven store. 6 minutes walk to nearest train station. Staff excellent with very good English. "
"1. Check-in & Information
The self-service system was extremely convenient and easy to use. All the necessary information was clearly provided, and both check-in and check-out were very fast. The instructions on how to get to the hotel and how everything works in the room were excellent.
2. Room
The room was huge by Japanese standards — modern, beautifully designed, and completely new. It had everything we needed, including a washing machine and a dryer, which was very convenient.
3. Beds
The beds were comfortable and placed side by side, which suited us perfectly.
4. Kitchen
The small kitchen was well equipped and very handy for preparing simple meals.
5. Location
The hotel is a little far from the train station (not actually a metro), and you need to walk a bit to reach the city center, but overall the location was still good.
Overall Impression
We were very satisfied and would definitely stay here again!
