"I love that it was so quiet and the staff were super helpful. There were lots of amenities. Beds were pretty comfortable. Just wish there were less trees blocking views and that there were some easier lake water access points, although the Marina was just a short drive down the hill. We would come back again."

"We had the best stay here!! The history of the house was amazing and the owners have kept it original while adding the modern conveniences. Myself and my daughters stayed and we spent so much time trying to take in all the special touches like the history of the house and of Shirley, very cool to read about! And Duke the hounddog was the perfect touch, he roams Shirley getting love and food from everyone. Perfect place to stay so you're in the middle of all the towns to go and do and experience mountain life! Very clean, very homey, just overall a perfect home to stay in!! Also the field and the zero radius chairs, perfect for star gazing! We will definitely be back!! "
