“Ein wunderschön angelegtes Hotel mit eigenem Bootsanleger in Tortuguero. Der Garten und das Gelände sind der gepflegt, nur der Pool ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem schön zum Entspannen. Etwas mehr Licht im Restaurant fänden wir gut. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig mit leckeren Säften. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig aber schön. Eine Sitzmöglichkeit im Zimmer wäre noch nett. Der Weg vom Hotel ins Dorf dauert ca. 20 Minuten und führt parallel zum Strand immer geradeaus. Insgesamt ein tolles……

“We hadden een onverwachte upgrade gekregen naar de deluxe tenten. Een zeer aangename verrassing en een leuke start van onze trip. Personeel was heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Tucans en veel andere vogels gehoord en gezien. ‘S nachts zijn oordopjes wel nodig voor mensen die licht slapen. Af en toe ook apen gehoord. Zwembad was erg fijn met een mooi uitzicht. Het eten en drinken (happy hour altijd leuk) was erg goed en schappelijk van prijs. Personeel heeft ons ook geholpen met het regelen……

“Tal como su nombre indica, se encuentra frenta a la playa, aunque ésta es un tanto "salvaje" por lo que está poco frecuentada y hay que bañarse con cuidado debido a las corrientes. Tortuguero es pequeño y todo está cerca, así que en pocos minutos se puede llegar andando a cualquier lugar. Lo recomendaría para una estancia breve, no más de 2 ó 3 días.”

“Carey Lodge es un sitio sencillo y muy tranquilo, ideal si buscas algo básico en Tortuguero. La limpieza del cuarto era buena, pero la experiencia se vio afectada porque no nos dejaron toallas ni papel de baño; tuvimos que movernos por nuestra cuenta para conseguirlos.
Está un poco alejado del embarcadero principal, lo cual es bueno para el silencio pero requiere caminar más. Mi mayor recomendación es no reservar por aplicaciones como Expedia si el precio se ve elevado, ya que terminamos pagando……

“Lovely spacious room, hotel located in the middle of all the wildlife we saw almost everything possible- with sloths, monkeys, armadillos & loads more outside our front door.

“Cet hôtel est au milieu de 2 autres hôtels, l’evergreen et le Monkey, reliés par un chemin goudronné. Nous étions les seuls clients dans celui ci donc pas de buffet.
L’hôtel est insalubre, aucune propreté, nous sommes restés 3 nuits et aucun ménage dans la chambre, nous avons dû nous sécher pendant 3 jours avec les mêmes serviettes à raison de deux douches par jour. La chambre est moite, très humide, ce qui rend le sol glissant.Aucun confort mais vraiment aucun.
Ne vous fiez surtout pas aux……

“Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good.
The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty.
Nice hammocks to relax in.
The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us”
