The things I didn’t like, was the parking lot wasn’t plowed properly, it was chunked up with ice which made it hard to carry things back and fourth let alone walking out to the car was difficult. “It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left……

“The cabin must be brand new and, while compact, feels spacious because of the high ceilings and comfortably stylish decor. We had everything we needed, including a very comfortable mattress. We didn’t have a chance to cook but easily could have as everything needed to prepare and enjoy a meal was on hand. Host was always extremely quick to respond to our messages.
