“Clean room professional and friendly staff, excellent breakfast”

“A true gem in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful nature. Small rooms but cosy and with newly upgraded bathrooms. Staff (mostly family) was super friendly and accommodating. The horse sleigh ride was simply astounding. What a great experience. A horse sleigh with torches as light took us to a log cabin in the woods with an open fire. They served traditional Norwegian dishes, gløgg, live music and a sing-along. Very unique.”

“This hotel is outdated and in need of a full update/renovation. The bedroom was very old fashioned and small. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Although some coffee was available in the reception area, no teabags and the hot water was not hot!! Breakfast was limited. This hotel was just about ok for an overnight but wouldn't stay any longer. Would definiately NOT book again. Far to pricey for the standards on offer.”

“They do not have body lotion in the room. I was standing in front of the reception staff waiting to be served for checking in. He was'nt busy. He just looked at me without saying a word. I approached him first instead of him approaching me as a guest. Being a guest relations job must be courteous to anyone. It is just my experience at that moment. I presumed he's not like that all the time.”

“On our many roadtrips through Scandinavian countries there is the constant of booking hotels that can be either hit or miss. We found gems in the middle of nowhere we want to get back to. We have found places like Fosen Fjord Hotel. Åfjord is beautiful. Small town but the nature around here is stunning. The hotel is easily found. Reception area is nice. When appointed a room, we had to go to the basement. The dark entry had us awaiting muggers around every corner, but we survived. The room is……

“Wir hatten für eine Nacht ein Eco Zimmer. Dieses fällt doch sehr sehr klein aus. Zudem lag es genau über dem Restaurant, dieses war doch surren der Küchenabsaugung zu hören. Das Frühstück hingegen war sehr gut. Eine kleine Auswahl am Buffet. Der Rest wird frisch zubereitet und zum Platz gebracht. Dafür 5 Sterne.”
