This property was one of the best we have stayed at. It was everything we needed, the bedroom and bathroom luxurious. The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything. I highly recommend a stay here.

Absolutely gorgeous space. The host made sure to include all the necessary and comfort amenities and then some! The space was cozy, comfortable, safe, and quiet. It is in the owners basement but could not feel more detached from the main house. The game room was such a plus and the fitness area is a great addition! Would definitely stay here again.

This spacious VRBO spoke, "Welcome...we've got everything ready for you!" Such tasteful decor, tons of fun things to do, and a notebook filled with ideas for day trips, places to eat, and other helpful info. The bedroom and full bath had high-end hotel quality linens and towels. Space outside for a "campfire" with wood and s'more holders provided. These owners didn't skimp on anything!

Absolutely perfect if you have small kids (and even if you don't). Host was quick to respond. There were so many great activities available for our kids to do. Everything was super clean, well organized, and the living area, which we used for the kids' bedroom, was perfect for little ones. Next time we need to come to the area we will definitely try to rebook this place.

Great location for historic sites or Shenandoah national park. Host is very responsive, great spot with plenty to keep you busy when you've finished for the day. Great set of games, pool, ping pong, puzzles, arcade games, snacks, coffee. Enjoyed the stay and will be back if we're in the area.

Beautiful property! Excellent experience for us and a few family members who came in to play some of the awesome games. We were in town for my Mother's funeral and appreciated having this extra space. Everything from toiletries to snacks was provided. Plan on staying here again next time we're in town. Thank you

The owners were wonderfully kind and communicative and the amenities were all very nice. I appreciated the helpful labeling and the small guest gifts/snacks. This is a fun place for a small family with two parents/one couple and two children (or 3 if one is sleeping in the bed).This location is not a great fit for a party with an adult who is not sleeping in the master bedroom. The children's room does not have a door, so there is no privacy, and the A/C is very loud in the rec room because of the hard surfaces. I recommend installing a door when funds are available!

Brief getaway

We had only booked for one night to go to family reunion. We will definitely consider returning. The space was very warm and welcoming. It is a great place if you have children (no matter what age) traveling with you. There are games and activities for all ages. There wasn't a kitchen so to speak but had all essential for breakfast and lunch, and a microwave to rehear a dinner.

Fun Place to Stay!

We had a wonderful time at Stephanie's place! The space was clean and beautifully furnished. Stephanie went above and beyond to add personalized touches and treats for us to enjoy! We loved playing the arcade games, ping pong and pool. We also tried out a few of the board games.The location was close to Shenandoah and several local restaurants. We had such a fun time. We will definitely be back!

Great amenities

This is the first time I’ve stayed at a private residence that the homeowner also lives in. I was hesitant but the reviews were good so I went ahead and booked it. Let me tell you I am shocked how beautifully decorated and furnished with tea, hot chocolate, small snacks, an art area, pool and ping pong, board games and an exercise area. I was blown away with the cleanliness and decor. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay. Check in and out was simple. Communication was excellent. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Wonderful getaway

The only negative thing about this stay was that it was too short! We loved everything about this place. We enjoyed the billards, the arcade games and rock painting. The hosts were so amazing and helped us with anything we needed. We loved how we could drive to Shenandoah Park and the Caverns within just an hour or two. I highly recommend staying here!

What a cute spot! There was so much occupying for the kids (and the big kids) board games, arcade. Whe didnt get a chance to utilize the gym, but its there with everything you need. Todd and Stephanie were amazing in accommodations with my kids. This place is clean, cozy, and comfortable! Thanks again!

WAY more fun than a hotel!

We have so many positive things to say about this stay, that I'm not sure where to begin. My parents and my 3 year old and I stayed here. She went out of her way preparing for our visit, and we all said we would go back again! I wish we had arrived on time instead of late, as I really wanted more time there! I also think it was perfectly priced at $202 with taxes and fees for 1 night and that is only a little bit more than what a hotel would have cost us, but we had WAY MORE FUN than what we would have had in a hotel. We walked up to the door at 9 pm and the little outdoor lights were on and the little hammock at the back and the rock garden from other visitors made it all just so inviting! There was so much charm in this place. My parents were impressed with the PDF book she sent us filled with details, and they loved the cushy soft floor in the bedroom and the furnishings of the bedroom/bathroom. It was so romantic or quaint looking. We pushed the twin day bed next to the couch and kinda made a double bed for my daughter and I to sleep on. We reached out in advance before booking to see if we could have 4 people when the listing says 3, and she replied within a very short time so we could proceed with arrangements.

Wonderful Stay

Host had amazing attention to detail. I stayed overnight with a friend and my 5 month old. Anything we could need from corkscrews to extra blankets were available. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch where string lights has been hung. Host was very communicative and kind. We had a wonderful stay.
