"Very cute a-frame in pleasant neighborhood, home is totally private as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs. Home is very clean and well organized, lots of amenities and I loved that there was no tv though the boys grumbled a little at first (they ended the trip saying it was nice to not have the tv)! Super quick drive to Maxwelton beach. Host is very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend this property if you’re staying on Whidby!"

"The view is amazing. Each day we saw seals swim by. There is a resident eagle who would sit out on the sand right outside the window. Our grandson watched him dive and get a fish. What a thrill. We found sea glass and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets. Maria our host was attentive and very helpful. Definitely met all expectations."

"This is the second time my sister and I have come to visit the cabin and it’s always a treat! They’ve renovated the bathroom and the shower is brand new and beautiful. "If you're looking for the perfect place to relax and get some perspective on life, this is it. If you're fussy about every little detail, maybe this isn't. The awesome view, the privacy, the sauna, comfortable beds, great wood burning fireplace, all the important things are here. It's very rural, so as you might expect, the decks were covered in leaves, pine cones, broken branches, plus quite a few cobwebs throughout the house, things we read other renters complain about but don't bother us....

"What a beautiful, thoughtfully constructed cabin! It had all the amenities you could want. Lots of great information about the area. We had thought it would be a little closer to the beach but the walk really wasn’t too bad. The road noise was a bit irritating when you hanging out outside but didn’t affect our sleep. "Large house with beautiful views and a cozy setup. The master bedroom upstairs was like a retreat with is soaking tub. House was well appointed and clean. Enough space for 4 adults to have privacy."

"Back deck is beautiful with great view….however all furniture was covered with dust and pollen so we could not sit out and enjoy it. We had a comforter and two folded towels in bathroom covered with dog hair from previous guest. We just washed and used anyway. Despite those two small issues, we had a great time and the house was adorable, well supplied, and dog friendly. We would definitely stay there again!"

"The property's best feature is the amazing view. The area is nice and the house had lots of books, lamps, kitchen supplies and things to make it comfortable. Vacasa is another story. Very difficult in their correspondence and an unusually early check out time of 10 am. When asking for check out at 11 am, I finally heard back and they offered 2 pm for an extra charge! Rip off. Never was connected to the hosts, just Vacasa reps."

"We were so happy with our choice. The home was more beautiful and comfortable than we had hoped. The lake was beautiful, complete with a hot tub, finish sauna and a fire pit. A beautiful setting. We were able to have our dog with us. We all felt like we were at home. The house was exceptionally clean and extremely well stocked!!! The kitchen was amazing and we enjoyed cooking together. The owners responded to our questions immediately, we were well taken care of. Would stay here again!"
