“I stayed there for 3 nights and had an excellent experience there. I booked it based on the good reviews and wished to enjoy some quiet time and rest after a few weeks travel in Europe. “This was a lovely hotel in an area that we wanted to explore. The service, room and restaurant were all fantastic. The breakfast was nice. We enjoyed being able to go outside and walk along the Rhine, and enjoy the view of the Chateau, vineyards and area. Parking was very easy and safe. Only complaint is that some of the switches were hard to figure out, esp in the bathroom… maybe when the staff shows you the room, make sure to inquire! ”

Das Essen ist hervorragend. Im ganzen haben sowohl wir, als auch unsere zwei Hunde sich sehr wohl gefühlt und können gerne wieder, wenn es und erneut nach Trier verschlägt. Empfehlung: Gerne auch den eigenen Wein probieren und durch die hauseigene Jagd auch mal Wild im Restaurant bestellen. ”

The hotel is spread across three buildings: the main building with the restaurant, Building 26 with rooms and the sauna, and another building across the street. The private sauna was a highlight—€30 for 1–2 people, and free by prior arrangement between 12:00–19:00, which was wonderful. Free parking.
