The Capricorn Caves have been a source of excitement and mystery in the Rockhampton region since 1882, when they were discovered and developed by a Norwegian settler. The caves have been entwined with ancient history and the Darumbal Aboriginal people’s traditional lands long before then. Relax on the white-sandy shores of Great Keppel Beach, also known as Fisherman’s Beach, and gaze up at gently swaying palm trees framing the sky. The west-facing beach is met by gentle waves and features a magnificent reef on its southern edge. Experience the beach’s beautifully warm waters and go swimming, snorkeling or diving. Explore nearby Rosslyn Harbour for fantastic waterfront facilities.
