We stumbled upon an unexpected piece of history during our Swiss trip last fall when we visited Musée et Chiens du Saint-Bernard (the St. Bernard museum) in Switzerland. On the way to the museum we walked across a section of old Roman road, which lead towards this Roman amphitheater! It just happened to be right next to the museum, so we stopped to explore. It only seats about 5,000 people, but it was in pretty good condition (for being 2,000+ years old). I loved the setting against the forest, and the sense of #history of this place. I also read that Caesar lost a battle here. Caesar! #Switzerland #martigny #roman #ruins
Fondation Pierre Gianadda is an impressive art museum, including its park with works by Rodin and Robert Indiana (the iconic LOVE sculpture). And it also has a small bamboo path, perfect for when your wanderlust wants to take you to Kyoto !
