"We went to the Royal Sunset with 6 of our Tongan young friends who help us at a humanitarian clinic we work in. We are leaving Tonga and wanted to thank them for all they do. We decided to spend the night at the Royal Sunset. The rooms were filthy. The linens were stained and the rooms were unbearably hot. The pool water was brown. Of the 3 kayaks that were available for use, 2 took on water as soon as you pulled them into the ocean. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our lunch and we were...

"Staff really went out of their way to make guests happy. Nothing was too difficult. The property suited my needs very well; comfortable, plenty of space to relax, homely, safe and clean with staff on-hand to assist if required. I'd stay there again."

"The Matafouna Lodge is amazing. The location is beautiful. The fales were comfortable with a porch, comfortable bed, and glass windows. The shower facility was convenient and very nice with ceramic tiles and privacy (and most importantly, hot water). The staff were friendly. The food was very good (the seafood pizza was delicious). "Great little hotel away from all the hustle and bustle of town. Daily buffet breakfast at Little Italy was fulfilling. Boys enjoyed swimming in the pool to cool down after a day of sightseeing. Regular house keeping by our lovely hosts. Rooms have everything you need to accomodate your stay including AC!!! Free wifi was an added bonus. Thank you Tropical Villa for making our stay mesmerising."
