I arrived at this property on a day when local authorities had issued a high heat alert due to extreme temperatures. Upon check-in, I discovered that the hotel does not have air conditioning. Both the lobby and the rooms were uncomfortably hot, making it impossible for me to stay safely.
If you are considering this hotel, be sure to read the property details carefully. Since there is no air conditioning, you will definitely feel the effects of the heat during warm weather.
I explained my health concerns to management and requested a full refund because the extreme temperatures made it unsafe for me to remain at the property. Unfortunately, they refused and charged me for three of the five nights I had originally booked, despite the citywide heat emergency. I was fortunate to find another hotel nearby with air conditioning at the last minute.
I found the management’s response to be lacking in compassion and flexibility given the exceptional circumstances. While I understand cancellation policies exist, I was disappointed that no reasonable accommodation was made during an extreme weather emergency.
