It was right in the heart of the city. We were able to park our car safely in the gated garage below the building. We drove to some places for hiking, but we walked to market, most restaurants, stores, etc. The apartment was well-supplied, nice linens, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of space. "I could definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is new so everything is fresh and clean. The host was fantastic!! She was so nice and did everything to make our stay memorable. The breakfast is also good! Apparently they have both cold and warm (made to order) breakfast but we only eat the cold because it was more than enough. We had a room upstairs with a big terrace overlooking the pool area. I have only good things to say about this hotel and especially the host in the dark-brown hair that...

How ever a small room, nowhere to put your suitcase, no soap for washing hands first day, no garbage bin, no fridge, no hairdryer. We were expecing a bit more from "the luxury living" slogan.

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Coopmanhuijs while in Stellenbosch. It was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and acommodating. The restaurant was outstanding. Our reservation included breakfast and we were able to order off of a menu and/or opt for the generous buffet. We also ate dinner at the restuarant and it was beyond delicious. (Springbok carpaccio!) We don't usually relax in common hotel spaces, but everyone was so welcoming that we did spend some time in the lounge by the fire. We met some other guests who were super interesting, and I felt like I learned a lot about South Africa culture as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"We had a lovely couple of nights here whilst we explored the surrounding Stellenbosch area. We were travelling with our baby and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff - they had thoughtfully put a mosquito net over the cot they had set up for her and there was a high chair ready and set up every morning when we came down for breakfast - we really appreciated these touches. The property is a beautiful little oasis with a pretty garden and pool. There are also helpful amenities like a communal kitchen which was really helpful when travelling with a child. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again if we return to the area in future."
