A Welcome Guide will be sent to you 3 days prior to your arrival with Directions, Door code, ect.

The room is a cozy studio attached to the home with its own private coded entrance. It has a King Size bed, Bathroom,
Microwave,Toaster, Coffee maker and refrigerator. It also includes cable TV and WiFi for your convenience. There is no stove or oven

There is a two acre, private tropical garden with two teahouses, one overlooking a Koi Pond for your enjoyment. We are one mile from the Volcano National Park.

The unit is only for adults age 25 and up.
No smoking . $250.00 fee if smoking has occurred
No drugs of any kind. Doing so will result in vacate order and police called .
Do not bring outside guests onto property or into unit without prior permission
The carport is for your use during your stay. Please be aware of backing out from carport.
WE NO LONGER ALLOW TRUCKS, VANS, JEEP WRANGLERS OR ANY OTHER LARGE VEHICLES ON PROPERTY. NO EXCEPTIONS!

It’s about 3 miles from the park. It’s about one mile of unpaved road to the house and it’s tricky to find at night. There are food, market, and gas options super nearby. It’s beautiful and quiet amd the perfect retreat to end a very active day

Sweet spot in Volcano area

This a good place to stay if you’re visiting Madam Pele at its finest. The living area was comfortable and clean. The place is surrounded by a beautiful garden; truly your own access to a local botanical garden.

Perfect Tropical Hideaway!

What a wonderful little hideaway! Small efficiency with a king bed that’s heated!! Gets a bit cool in the evenings but there’s a space heater to keep us comfy!! Kitchenette’s just right for a couple of days exploring the Volcano & surrounding area!! Host is very nice & responds quickly!! Would return again!!

The location was good for going to the National park. The road conditions getting to the property we okay, careful with low cars. The places itself was very cute. Check in and out was easy. There was a binder with places nearby to visit, eat, and explore.

Jim’s place was fantastic, just what we needed to be close to Volcano National Park to see episode 19. Great communication, location and view of the flowers and paths through the property.

We enjoyed our stay and stroll through the garden at the house. It was very quiet and comfortable. The house is tucked pretty far back and you can't use GPS, but once you memorize the route you're fine.

A wonderful place to stay

Amazing Stay

We loved our stay!! The drive to the location felt like an adventure in the rainforest. The property comes with a beautiful history. Family Visit

Jim’s place is great for us when visiting family in the area. This is our 2nd time staying and we enjoyed it as much as our first. It’s a few minutes from Volcano National Park, and lovely cafes.

Remote and beautiful

Just don’t look for the property for the first time at night— it’s very tucked away on a rough road! But a perfect place to stay at night after visiting the volcano national park, very peaceful, clean and well appointed. Huge comfy bed! The host has some highly specific rules, but nothing we couldn’t comply with.

Beautiful spot, so close to the park

Perfect place to stay while exploring Volcano National Park. Felt like we were in a private rain forest retreat. The space is a good size, bed was very comfortable, and it had all the amenities you need. Highly recommend.

We loved this stay in the rainforest at Jim’s location! The gardens/walkways were so beautiful and Jim was so kind to greet us! Close to volcano National park so was perfect for us after a long day exploring.
