“We had a fantastic stay, really appreciated the proximity to all sorts of fun family activities - we did the Mystery Cave Scenic Tour, our own Amish country driving tour (courtesy of the host supplied map), biked a ton, went to the community pool, did a few of the "nine hole" fishing spots in Preston (stop by Curt's and/or Driftless Flying Fishing for tips), and went for a tube float down the Root River with Root River Outfitters. “Chris the Host did a great job of communicating & got back to me quickly when I had questions. The place was clean with fresh sheets & towels. And lots of air conditioners which was great since it’s been so hot lately. ”

“Great host and amazing setting! The house is set up perfectly for a large group. Plenty of things to do if you want to stay and relax at the house or use it as a place to stay while visiting the area.”

“Lynn's home in the woods was the perfect spot to stay while attending a family reunion. The setting back in the woods is beautiful with all the flora and fauna. Lynn made sure there was a run down of all the activities in the area, as well as favorite things to do in the woods and streams around the house. We went in the heat of July so care had to be taken to keep the house cool and well ventilated. The whole home was very well stocked, we wanted for nothing. Thanks for letting us stay!”

“You can’t beat this central location in downtown Lanesboro. Walking distance to absolutely everything. Spacious house with several beautiful outdoor seating arrangements. Private parking spaces in back or public spaces in front & across the street from the house made parking convenient. Very updated & modern interior finishes & appliances….and comfy beds too. Hosts Jim & Jill were very communicative. If we ever visit Lanesboro again, we’d book a stay here for sure. ”

“Very remote and secluded location for total privacy. We enjoyed the fire pit, cornhole, giant Jenga, pool table, and outdoor exploring. It was perfect for our family group of 9 ranging in ages from 12-80.The property is about equal distance from Rushford and Houston so we explored both communities as well as visiting Lanesboro during Buffalo Bill Days. Bowling in Rushford was a family favorite! The bowling alley also has good, reasonably priced food.Everything we needed was at the property. We...

“We stayed while visiting family in the area. The house is cozy and comfortable. Clise enough to town if you need anything, yet far enough away that you can see all the stars. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. ”
