One Tree Point is a relaxed coastal community on the shores of Whangārei Harbour, perfect for a low-key getaway. It’s mostly quiet year-round and has a great holiday vibe during the summer, offering a mix of peaceful seaside living and easy access to local spots.
The area is great for walking and biking, and you’re just a short stroll from the Marsden Cove Marina, where you’ll find several options for dining, including breakfast, coffee, and dinner by the water. For beach time, swim at high tide just out front, or drive 10 minutes to the surf at Ruakākā Beach.
Boat ramps at One Tree Point and the Marsden Cove Marina are just minutes away, and you’ll find groceries, takeaways and fuel close by at the Four Square or Ruakākā Shopping Centre.
Historic Waipū village is also an easy drive, with its museum, cafés and boutique shops, and on the way is the Waipū Golf Course, a scenic public course right on the waterfront at Bream Bay.
