The listing on VRBO was true to the actual property and the host ensures the property is clean and inviting. I give this property a 5 star rating and would recommend the Hudson’s Boat House to anyone vacationing at Smith Lake in Alabama.”

“LOVED the location of this place! The cove was very well protected from the waves of main channel and the boathouse was great for parking our boat. The place is small and true to what is listed. Its was very clean and had a great couch to relax on and watch a movie with kiddos after a full day enjoying the lake. If I had to say something negative I wish there were thick curtains or blinds that could be pulled up and down because the sun comes raging in first thing in the morning. Another great……

“This place is not perfect. But is is close - for us. There is a little dust. It is very pet friendly, with a super convenient fenced back yard that corrals both a small dog and a young child. There is not a speck of paint inside - the interior is natural wood finish top bottom and sides. The decor is “lodge” — charming, warm, and relaxing. “Just what we needed for the weekend nice little get away.”

“We needed a place to stay for Rock The South and came across this little cabin. It was just us girls so didnt need something massive. The cabin was cute and clean..We had no negatives at all.....But some FYIs if you stay....cell service was spotty and at the minimal, no internet (which we enjoyed the break) && be safe and drive a SUV or Truck its a couple miles back on a narrow dirt road that has a few washed out spots and can get muddy if it rains! Im glad we got there in the daylight because……

“This has to be the most beautiful and clean place I have ever stayed! None of us wanted to check out and leave. This property has everything you could possibly need and more! We used every amenity offered including the private lake dock and fire pit. Our group enjoyed grilling brats on the gas grill and roasting s’mores on the log fire out front. In the morning, there was nothing better than waking up to horses right outside our windows and drinking coffee on the back porch with the sound of……

“The cabin and view were absolutely amazing! Beautifully designed, thoughtfully decorated, and spotlessly clean. We spent the day exploring Cane Creek and Dismals Canyon, then enjoyed a relaxing evening at the cabin. Grilled out with ease—there’s a grocery store just 3 miles away. Jennifer, the owner, was great with communication and made everything seamless. Peaceful, cozy, and everything we hoped for. We’d go back in a heartbeat!”

“We rented both cabins for a large group. They are just as described. True cabins in the woods. Some bugs here and there, yes, again cabin in the woods. We absolutely adored these houses. Had everything we needed plus some. Sofa beds are aged, but kids didnt mind. The drive down to the water did require 4x4, we had on and off rain, but we didnt pay attention to the fact that there was another, easier route until several days in. We still chose the 4x4 route.
