"This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It has everything you could possibly need— for meal preparation, outdoor enjoyment and staying occupied indoors. The Pickleball court is fantastic! We rent a boat from the local marina and use the dock on the property. Elizabeth is an excellent communicator and rep replies quickly to messages. "We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was very relaxing. The cabin had plenty of room for our family. We took advantage of using the boat, kayak, and paddle boards. The lake is so clear. Our favorite parts were paddle boarding, catching frogs, and having smores by the fire. It is close to Hayward, as well. John was a great host. He was always available if we had a question. When we come up to the area again, we won't hesitate to rent this cabin again."

"Jake’s cabin on Grindstone lake is the perfect spot for enjoying the Hayward area. Check-in and contact with the owners were top notch. The cabin itself is clean, up to date and perfect for two people. The lake is crystal clear, not really busy and great for fishing. Thanks!!!"

"Good communication and information provided by host prior to check-in. It is a very well cared for property in a beautiful, tranquil location. A doe and her two fawns visited every day. We made use of the games, kayaks, and fire pit. The only down side was we were traveling with a toddler under age 2 and the yard did not have a good play space. They needed to be contained to the deck areas. Something to consider if traveling with littles. There is an incline from the road to the cabin, and the cabin to the lake. Overall, this is a wonderful property and is perfect if you are looking for peace, serenity, and natural beauty. "

"This was our second year at the chip lodge. we liked it so much the first year that we had to come back. the first year we showed up there was maybe 15 people and the house easily accommodated us. its a rustic vibe. things are old and perhaps that is the charm and what we like about it. the highlight for us is definitely the slow cruises on the pontoon boat as we explored the lake. The kitchen is huge and designed to feed a lot of people. Gary is a nice guy. He lives right next door which is helpful if you have any questions about the lake, boats, lures, fishing, and everything else. The view from the large deck is exceptional. Enjoy your stay here. I'd recommend this place for any large group."

"We loved this cabin and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so clean and had little extras like super fluffy towels. We especially loved the screen porch. We spent so much of our time on the porch playing games, reading, and having fun. It was also pretty warm our last evening there, and the porch provided a little breeze so it wasn’t quite as warm. The only drawback in the summer is that the cabin is not air conditioned, but we knew this when we booked our stay, so we made the best of it. We would definitely book here again! "

"We really had the best time here. The house was cozy, had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We spent our weekend swimming in the lake, grilling, and enjoying great company by the fire. It was nice to walk over to the nearby restaurant for a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. The highlight of our weekend was fishing off the dock, we caught a variety of fish. We are already planning our next trip to come!"

"Had a wonderful time on Sand Lake! I was initially disappointed that the lake access was across the road, but it was fine. The grandkids know never to cross a road without an adult, so it was a perfect barrier to the lake for them. The sand and shallow water went on forever and they absolutely loved being able to jump off the dock all the way to the end. We didn't have to worry about them taking the floaties too far out and they loved trying to catch minnows. The configuration of the house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it."

"We recently stayed here with our 3 adult children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren. The layout with 5 bedrooms on the main floor each with a bathroom and an enormous kids “bunk room” upstairs made this the absolute perfect place for our family vacation. This lake home is huge-from the minute you walk up to the front door you are aware of the scale with high ceilings, doors and spacious rooms. There is a sound system throughout the entire home as well as the patio and outside area. There are various thermostat zones for comfort. There is a large game room downstairs with pool, ping pong, foosball and video games. The boat house has a canoe and kayak for your use. The landscape is impeccably kept. You get the feeling that this home was very special when it was built. Also, our property management representative, Sarah, was extremely responsive and helpful. We were able to rent a pontoon and jet ski for the week and enjoyed the beautiful Chippewa Flowage-only a small part of it. The views were so beautiful from the soaring living room windows and the master bedroom windows and doors that opened to the patio. There are a few things to know as you approach your stay. Bed linens were great but you need to bring ALL your own towels. Kitchen appliances are top line, cupboards and pots and pans could use a little more care. There are tons of nice dishes. TVs didn’t work but Sarah fixed that. Over all, I would strongly recommend."

"This cabin is perfect for a small family or two couples. The location is perfect. There’s plenty of dock space. The screened-in porch overlooks a quiet bay. The cabin is just a few steps from the water. It was well-stocked and had everything we needed. I’d bring a fan along if staying during summer as the upstairs bedrooms were very warm on a hot summer night. We loved this place and hope to come back soon!"

"We LOVE staying here!! We have so much fun fishing, shopping, dining out. We have to see the Lumberjack show the next time we stay. It’s Fantastic!! We wish we could have stayed for a couple weeks! Such a beautiful cabin, wonderful jacuzzi! Relaxing and fishing was incredible! We caught close to 100 fish during are 5 day stay. The pontoon is a lot of fun! So relaxing & peaceful!!
