North Coast Cheap Vacations

Our room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable, big plus for us. Our room was facing the pool area, and close to everything. I have to say I liked our location at Sanoa building. The food was very good indeed, loved the local dishes available on every meal during the day. But for my preferences the only two things missing were : no gourmet or speciality coffee cafeteria (if not included on package I would not have minded paying for superb coffee daily) and no international gin brands on the bar (again, if not included I would have payed for it) not even on display. Beach area well kept, safe, clean, spacious, we had no problems getting our chairs and umbrella, and I liked the beach a lot. Very calm. Pristine water. I liked it better than Punta Cana area. We arrived before 1 pm on Tuesday, quick check in, our room was ready, the gave us our key right away... But when I tried to make a reservation at the theme restaurants I could not get one for none of the days I was staying. All full. And just on had sitting available for 8:30 or 9 pm, which was too late for us. Luckily the buffet area never ran short of great food and variety. At check out they offered a 15% discount on my return, I might take them on that offer. We liked it. If they imported the coffee aspect it would be a perfect experience for me. My daughter loved it, and so did my nanny... None are coffee or gin enthusiasts 😂

The lodging and the food were good.

Within the first 24hr of our stay, we experienced a number of issues which ultimately resulted in us leaving after one night (booked for 4 nights). - the day before checking in, we received a message stating that the property was trying to charge our card for the whole booking even though we had already booked and paid in full through Expedia. Luckily the bank rejected the payment and we resolved the issue with the property. -upon arrival, we noticed a lot of damage to the room. looks like water damage, missing lights, fans not working and door handles falling off. - we were locked out 2x times on our first day. The property uses an app that creates a code on the lock. This didn’t work the first time and WAS CONFIRMED TO BE MALFUNCTIONING and needed to be re programmed. The 2nd time we were locked out at 9:30pm at night. There is no front desk worker however there was a maintenance person who was eventually able to let us in. This was stressful. - that same night there was a big party above us and went on until 3am. My wife and I didn’t sleep much that night. - due to these two issues on the first night we decided to leave and request a refund. The property denied it however said, if they could recoup their money from the party people above us through their security deposit, they would refund us. They never did but offered us 100$ for the inconvenience which we never received. Will never book a Kristy Collection property again after being treated this bad.

For 3 days I complained about my toilet not working properly then on the 3 day at 8pm they moved me to a room that had black mold. The staff was very rude and not willing to help. I will never go back there again
