Interior Alaska Golf Vacations

Due to the tornados that came through Chicago, our flight was delayed by a day. Our reservation was for 3 days. I called the hotel when I realized our trip to Alaska was being delayed and asked to modify the reservation from 3 days to 2 days. I was told no problem and that it would be taken care of. Imagine my surprise when I was charged for 3 days instead of the 2 days we stayed there. I feel that since I called 3 days before the day we were supposed to arrive that I should have only been charged for the 2 days we stayed. It was hard to find this place because you check in at one place, under a different name and then you go to another place under a even different name to stay. Building was run down the elevator didn't work so we had to drag our suitcases up two flights of stairs, after we finally found which side of the building we were to go. There wasn't any type of numbers outside of building to let you know where to go. Grass and flower beds were overgrown. Our room was hot without air conditioning as we only had a very small window in the door going out to a small balcony. Our stay here was disappointing. Just beware!

This place is beautiful! The property is clean and well maintained. There are so many options of activities to do in-house or go to a an activity arranged through the hotel. In February, they will be offering several new activities in-house that I am sad we couldn't participate in - red light therapy, salt water dry float, and Aurora Theater glass viewing house. The reindeer are beautiful and well kept. The gardens are lovely and calming. Breakfast had many choices, so you will be able to find something you like. And for Alaska, they actually have air conditioning units in each room - not all places offer AC here. It is August and outdoor temps are 44°F at night and 54°F during the day. We are from Texas where it is 108°F today! Sooo refreshing to be here instead!! If you are looking elsewhere, stop now. Stay here!

This place was built as an apartment complex and was later converted to a “resort” hotel. Imagine if Knight’s Inn built a resort. That aside, the price was good and the rooms are huge. Not much in the way of amenities, honestly, but a clean, decent place to stay. The location is quite nice.
