Lovely hotel usefully located in centre of town

The room was basically dirty & scruffy. Linen & towels ok but the floor needed vacuuming & bathroom floor around skirting looked like had never been cleaned. Staff seemed stretched & too busy, most of the dinner menu was sold out & my partners poached eggs on toast resembled hard boiled eggs on toast as overdone. The pub is in a great location & my overall stay was not awful but should have been better. The room was only £65 so wasn't expecting the Ritz but expected a clean room without flaking paint.

It's a beautiful place with a beautiful room in a spectacular area . And a very helpful staff. The food was a bit underwhelming compared to what we were expecting.

Lovely clean property with everything you could need. The complimentary food and drink was very welcome. The facilities were of a high standard. We enjoyed meals in the restaurant and the children loved the pool and soft play

Beautiful grounds and castle room. Don’t recommend staying next to the elevator though as it was quite loud

All the staff were very polite and helpful. They went out of their way to be helpful. All the rooms in the hotel were very clean. The food was excellent. Varied and well cooked and great presentation. Lounge was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety and served quickly. It was nice having a concierge to park the car for us.
