I love TI, the floor we were on must have had a water leak. The wet, mildew smell was horrible. It smelled like sewer. The whole time we were there they were cleaning the carpets. The smell was only by the elevator and down the halls. Room smelled fine. I will go back though

Great hotel. Clearly freshly refurbished and excellent facilities. Staff were extremely attentive - everyone we bumped into in the lift, for example, even junior team members, asked how we were and whether there was anything that they could do to improve our stay. Shows a great culture! Only downsides are a bar that shuts very early (10pm) and a LOT of mosquitoes in the outdoor pool area - they give bug spray it we had to retreat late afternoon or after rain.

My wife and I stayed here 5 years ago and loved it. We came back hoping to re-experience the same fun but unfortunately it was a bit underwhelming. While not a bad hotel by any stretch, LA (post covid) has really gone downhill and that's reflected in many of their hotels. The rooms are a bit worn, the colors a bit faded, scratch-marks on the walls or floorboards that wouldn't have existed a few years ago are present. It just fell a bit flat.
Let me be clear, I would stay here again!
But namely when traveling for business. It just wasn't the cute/special little artsy hotel we experienced as newlyweds.
