Perfectly fine place to stay if arriving to train station late.

Very close to train station but try and get a room not facing the train station due to noise. Wc was seprate to the shower which is a minor niggle. 15 mins walk to old port and lots of shops nearby. Lots of mainly Arab food places open late and very early and dead cheap on the door step. Feels relatively safe despite the riots dying down. Mareilles is not dangerous like the media states. Metro station faces the hotel. Pool use costs extra and I was not aware of this, need to pay 30 euro for a reservation slot. Airport shuttle starts at 3.30 am each day (?) but was cancelled on my arrival due to strikes but no issues on way back at 4am. 15 euro single ticket to airport.

We were disappointed. The staff was rude, they gave us the wrong room (we had booked 2 double rooms and were given a double and a twin, despite the website indicating twins were sold out). The receptionist overheard us saying we could switch the rooms and then told us they weren’t the same and not to switch (she gave the twin room to us- a same sex couple- and the double to a heterosexual couple- raising my suspicion of homophobia). The $53 breakfast charge was also way out of line ( we passed). Also arriving back at 11PM the outside gate was closed and no one responded to the intercom. Luckily a car with a pass came and opened the gate. Very poor experience.
