AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE - THE BEST 5-STAR BOUTIQUE HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN It is genuinely difficult to put into words just how special our stay at Kove Hotel Mykonos was. After more than 20 years of travelling and consistently staying in five-star hotels around the world, I can confidently say that the level of genuine care, warmth and guest service we experienced at Kove was unlike anything we have experienced before. This is not simply a beautiful five-star boutique hotel. Kove feels like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, there was a warmth and personal touch that made us feel less like hotel guests and more like we were being welcomed into someone’s home. A huge part of what made our stay so unforgettable was Nancy, the Restaurant Manager. Nancy is truly exceptional and one of those very rare people you meet while travelling who becomes part of the memory of the holiday itself. Her warmth, kindness, care and attention made us feel as though we were staying with family. Nothing ever felt forced or simply part of her job - her hospitality came from the heart. She remembered the little things, genuinely cared whether we were happy and made every breakfast and dinner feel special. Quite simply, our stay at Kove would not have been the same without Nancy’s presence. We must also give a very special mention to Andreas and Poliana at reception, who were absolutely incredible throughout our stay. They went above and beyond for us all the time.

Property was ok. I booked a room based on the specific pictures for that room which included two sunbeds in the private pool; however, the room we got did not have any sunbeds. We were told they had several rooms in the same category and only one had the sunbeds. Water was too cold and no sunbeds made the private pool unnecessary. Staff was helpful, but still no compensation for not being able to use the private pool.

Mileo Mykonos is a GEM. We were looking for somewhere we could complete unwind and Mileo offered exactly this. The hotel is located a 5 minute walk to the beach and the beautiful Aegean Sea and the views from our room and from the bar area were gorgeous. The room was modern but warm, luxurious with a comfortable bed, large shower and the option of both air con and fan cooling. We had a room with sea view and private pool and this did not disappoint. The rooms were cleaned daily, often whilst we ate breakfast which was great as we came back to a spotless room. The gym is small but well appointed and the spa/sauna area is great for a bit of relaxation out of the sun. The breakfast has plenty of choice with little changes each day and we found the lunch menu food really hit the spot (chicken club is the one!!). Staff couldn’t do enough for you too - incredibly helpful. Being able to use Whatsapp to ask questions was very convenient and nothing was ever too much to ask. Only downside is that the hotel, whilst close to the beach and some other hotel restaurants, is on the more isolated part of the island - without a car it gets very pricey to get around/get to Mykonos via taxis so if you are looking to explore maybe it’s not ideal, but we were looking for a retreat and this is exactly what we got. Would 100% stay here again!

The Grace hotel is a good option to stay at in Mykonos but it's worth noting that it's located north side of the island in Agios Stefanos and a bit away from the old port, and pretty far away from the south beach clubs that are worth visiting. The beach across the street is in fact very pretty BUT there is only one run down restaurant that charges 40 euros for two chairs and an umbrella. The hotel itself does not have their own beach and you either have to sit on the sand or at this overpriced restaurant. Going to a beach club is definitely an option (at a higher price) but unless you rented an ATV, scooter or car, you'll have to travel by bus to old port, then walk to Fabrika and take another bus to Paradise, Santanna, Scorpios, etc. OR pay the base 40-50 euros for a taxi anywhere you go on the island. With that said, was this hotel nice? sure. Would I stay here again? probably not.
