Weekend getaways in Okayama

The staff was helpful and kind right as we entered the lobby. When for a recommendations for dinner they not only made reservations on our behalf, they wanted to make sure we got there and went out of their way to give us a photo of the place and drew a detailed map for us. The onsen was wonderfull. They had everything one could wish for. 3 bathes: outdoorish, indoor hot and indoor cold. They had all the creams and soaps one could need. Very hospitable and attentive staff. The room is clean and big. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Okayama.

Room was clean, comfortable and relatively spacious. Breakfast was very good and lots of options. Location was great. Train station, castle, canal road, mall and restaurants all in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Great stay. Room had everything I needed & was clean/comfortable. Staff made hospitality clear even when our common vocabulary was limited. Close to shopping/dining/public transportation & also walkable. I extended my stay!

I stayed at the Kyoto Via Inn before and had great impression, so I booked the Okayama Via Inn as well. However, the hotel is convenient as it is connected to the train station but there's a restroom smell in my room and full of black mold around the window that makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

The hotel is basic and unpretentious yet everything you need is there. Clean and efficient. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Less than 2 blocks from the train station. Only steps away from a huge mall, as well as a local market. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The breakfast buffet is quite good and worth the additional charge.

Front desk was very helpful in switching my reservation from a smoking to a non-smoking room. Rooms were decently clean, and the location is conveniently located near Okayama station.

We stayed for four days and had a very enjoyable visit. We booked a double room, which was slightly on the small side, but it was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the city. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the outdoor hot baths were a real treat. The free shuttle bus to and from the station, which takes around 20 minutes, was really helpful. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming, and the room so nicely appointed, I was disappointed I was only staying one night.

Stayed two nights and it was perfect for me. The breakfast wasn't anything special, and the hotel itself is showing some wear and tear, but the room was clean and comfy and just what you'd expect from this kind of hotel.
