Super friendly checkin even tho we were late, gorgeous views. Not much within walking distance, but all other ways EXCELLENT!

The owner and staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. They also went out of their way to make sure any questions we had were answered. Parking was free, great complimentary breakfast. Property is about a 40 minute drive from the airport, 15 min walk from the center of town. They really care about their business here. Support local small businesses. They truly care.

The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.

I had the most enjoyable stay at Eyja Guldsmeden! A very clean hotel with excellent service! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Special thanks to Laura who was super nice and helpful with dining recommendations! Will be back!

The house is fantastic. Very nicely decorated with all amenities. Beautiful view of Reykjavik and a convenient drive to all of its sights. The owner Sigi is very welcoming and helpful. Can't ask for anything more!

I traveled with my husband and 1 year old. This was a very clean place with a lot of space. We loved being able to do some grocery shopping to eat at our place at the end of the day. Great base - we explored Reykjavik, Snaefellsness peninsula from here. Wish I would have stayed here my first night as a base to explore the Golden Circle as well.

Staff was extremely helpful with ideas for things to do during a blizzard. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was cozy and warm. Great location.

The entire process of checking in and communicating with the host was very easy. Although the property is not in the Coty Center, the buses were very easy to navigate.

I LOVED IT HERE! I am a single woman who travels alone, and my safety drives my decisions when I travel. Initially I regretted staying away from the city center, but after I figured out the logical bus system, I was grateful for being in a quiet area. My room was austere and clean. The kitchen was adequate. One thing I encourage the owners to invest in: a dresser or a shelf for guests to put their clothes. Four hangers is inadequate. Nice laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Can wake up to the sounds of the waves and spend some time by the water. We were able to see the northern lights from right outside of our hut. A fair price for lodging and an amazing experience.

Clean, cozy, beautiful, well located hotel! Above all, the hotel staff was super kind and helpful. They helped us immediately when we had issues finding the bus back to the airport, and solved our problem and our stress of missing our flight. For us that was service above expectations and we are so greatful. I will always recommend staying here!! Thank you!

The hotel is conveniently located, tours pick up right outside the front door. The included breakfast was fabulous. Parking is included. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. We will absolutely stay again next visit.

My husband, son (1 year), and I stayed here in November. The studio had a wonderful bathroom with a towel warmer! Believe me, you will want it. Great kitchenette and comfy beds. The hotel provides FREE milk, juice, and cereal for your stay. Oh, and tons of free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for FREE! The staff was very friendly. My stay at Alda & Iceland itself was wonderful. As a solo traveler I felt safe at the hotel & the front desk staff was very helpful as well as friendly! Room was cute & clean. They provided a coffee maker & mini fridge which I stored some items from the Bonus store 2 mins away. I was sad to leave.
