"The property was beautiful outside. Fall is a great time to go to Walker. When we checked in the receptionist, she was nice and bubbly. However, when we went to the restaurant/bar for dinner, it was closed. Nothing was mentioned when we booked it. That was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there. There was another party wanting to know when breakfast is served and they laughed and said no breakfast. It is 10 miles or so into town. The rooms were nice and large. Called and Asked for...

"A great, quiet location near everything you need for a quiet weekend or active weekend. Close to Longville, Backus, and Hackensack...or multiple boat launches. Plus, we had access to kayaks to explore the various portages in the area. The cabin itself was great for family time. Plenty of games (pool, ping pong, video golf), and board games made for a great time for three generations of the family. Communication was great throughout the process. We had a great experience all around."

Beautiful 4-bedroom Lakefront cabin on Portage Chain of lakes in Backus

10/10 Excellent

"This is a fantastic option for families. The cabin is beautiful - vaulted ceilings, exceptionally comfortable beds, ample space for larger groups. The loft was a great area for gathering, shooting pool, ping pong, etc. The kitchen had all items you would need. The deck and yard provided room to sit and play bags. Plenty of room for parking. The communication was responsive, informative and helpful. The only disadvantage is that it is not a swimming lake, although the 2 connecting lakes were very good for lifejacket swimming, floating, fishing. We had a few children 6 years and younger that wanted to swim and play in the sand. We took them to the beach in Hackensack (20 minutes away) and they enjoyed an afternoon there. Always options around for all ages. We would highly recommend this home!"
