"This older home and its cultural interior connected with my roots in Kingfield when I worked as a forester for Dead River Timberlands in the mid-late 1960's. The wall art plus books on the Grateful Dead, you rock! I stayed here as my overnight for doing some off-trail photographic exploration in the Boundary Mountains the next day. i'll stay here again. Thanks "

"I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the cabin was! I read the positive reviews and felt comfortable staying there but didn’t realize how spacious and homey the cabin would feel! The beds were super comfortable, having a washer and dryer in the cabin was a pleasant surprise, and the quietness of the entire resort area was fantastic. Super spread out. Renting canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards was really easy. The cabin got a little warm during the day but the three box fans were a big help."

"We had a wonderful time in spite of gray skies and rain. The cabin was cozy and we loved hearing the ducks in the morning and the loon in the evening. Even had a family of deer with 2 fawns in the yard eating apples. Being right on the water was great for relaxing and enjoying the quiet which was what I needed! Walked into town in between rain showers, ate a lot of good food and ice cream! Would definitely come back again!"

"Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Golden Smelt. We have been renting VRBO properties for decades and this is by far the best stay we have ever had. The cabin is brand new, and was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay special. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, the stylish decor, the ample parking spaces, and of course the incredible views of mountains and lake. We loved sitting at the dining table next to the wall of windows that face the lake....

"The cabin was centrally located and a great fit for what we needed. We were a group of five and that seemed like a perfect number for the space (although theoretically I think it can sleep ten). If you plan to cook for larger groups you should bring some of your own pots and pans, and paper plates and utensils (the kitchen does have some things, but not enough for cooking for more than 3-4 ppl). Overall a great stay! The fire pit and river views were lovely. "

"We were in town for my son's wedding. The house was so well-equiped - top of the line appliances, great cookware, platers, plantes, glass, cups. The beds are comfortable, the house was clean. Anyone that stopped by was in awe of the amazing view. The check-in process was seemless. The property manager responsded to my questoins within 24 hours. Rangeley is a quite town but the people are so welcoming. I would highly recommend this house. "
