"Terrible location - right next to a power/transformer station. Only donuts for breakfast, nothing remotely healthy. Coffee wasn’t bad. Room was clean but toilet seat was old and stained. Owners were friendly. No parking! Overpriced for what you get. "

"The cabin itself is beautiful but it needs a deep thorough cleaning. The linens were dirty on one of the beds and another bed had hair on sheets which tells me they were not even changed from the prior guests. Floors, toilets were filthy. We found dead bugs in one of the showers and on many of the window sills. Thankfully there was a washer and dryer available so we could was the bedding. "

It was the perfect distance from stores and easily accessible to downtown asheville for a day trip. The property was clean and well maintained and exactly as advertised. "Amazing little gem of a cabin along the French Broad! Completely private setting but just a short drive from town. Stayed there with my 3 boys and was more then enough room for all of us. The kids loved it!Melanie was such a gracious host and gave us all kinds of activitiy ideas for us to do while we were there. She even left tubes for us to use. "Under new owner ship. Comfortable stay! Having a kitchen for community use is a big plus. There is also a very friendly restaurant and Bar on the property across the street from the Lodge Staff was very helpful with recommendations and checking on us during short power outage. "
