"What a great hotel at a perfect location!! It’s close to Duomo, very easy to get from Orvieto train station by funicular and bus A to Duomo. I got a room at a separate building from the main building, so it was very quiet and the room is so spacious, clean and comfortable. There are so many shops, restaurants, cafes, gelateria around the hotel. Highly recommend it!!"

"Third stay here and the place just gets better. Unlike other hotels that get tired and worn out - this one is always maintained very well and repairs that need doing are done - not left to get worse. Staff are brilliant and friendly. Restaurant and continental breakfast very good. Close to A1 so easy to get anywhere around. Pool and sun terrace are a big bonus and the pool is on site just a short walk from the main entrance not 1km away, like some hotels claiming they have pool access. All in all a great place for a relaxing break in Umbria and close enough to Rome for day trips. 1hr 10min drive to Rome or train from nearby station 40mins and very cheap. Highly recommended. "

"The owners (who owned a restaurant) offer an option for dinner, and their homemade food was delicious. The hosts go out of their way to make you comfortable and were warm and welcoming. We stayed in their newly renovated guesthouse with our own courtyard and it was lovely."

"The staff were all very nice and accommodating, but the hotel was not at all what I was expecting from the photos and description. The hotel is old, the furniture is old and tired-looking and the bed was not at all comfortable. We stayed early October and it was still fairly humid out, but the AC had been turned off. We had to open windows which faced a VERY busy and noisy road. There were guests talking loudly and constantly smoking below our room until very late at night and all that came right into our room. Guests were working on something in the parking area and making loud motor noise until after 20:00. I don’t understand why staff allowed this. Bugs came in the open windows so we had to put the shutters down and it felt like we were in a hot box. Thankfully I had a small fan, but it provided very little relief. Breakfast was adequate with pastries, yogurt and cold cuts. The coffee was very good. The restaurant is next door and does not open until 7 for dinner. Food was very good and staff were helpful. There was a bit of a language barrier, but the dinner was very good. The location is convenient as it is right off the highway, but that also adds to the noise, as did the trains speeding by. Although the staff were very nice, if I were to travel to Orvieto again, I would look for a different hotel to stay in."
