As locations go, in the rolling hills nestling between the Clwydian Range and Snowdonia, you are ideally located for all that this fantastic area of North Wales has to offer. This is a place of moors, beautiful lakes, mountains, sweeping woodland and the sea.
Surrounding Cedar Lodge are breathtaking countryside views. Take time to wander the quiet local lanes and footpaths or explore the Pilgrim’s Way. This is an area of great tranquility and dark skies. The wildlife is abundant and streams and rivers twist their way along the hidden valleys that link the villages and hamlets. Although it feels a million miles away from the towns you will discover, you are less than 8 miles to the coastline and under 20 miles to the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. You are within easy reach of Colwyn Bay, with miles of sweeping promenade along the huge sandy beach. A little further is either Llandudno, a fabulous Victorian seaside town with traditional pier and its much quieter West Shore, or Conwy whose town walls are considered to be among the finest and most complex in Europe. Gwyrch Castle where ’I’m a Celebrity’ has been filmed, is also only a short drive away. And if you are looking for walks to enjoy, you’ll be spoilt for choice; this really is a great base to explore the region whatever your interests.
