The Bear Den Vacation Home is a fully equipped log vacation home with 10 beds and 2 full baths. The bed count includes 2 queen beds, 5 twins, a day bed that opens to two twins and a futon bed. This is a great place for families or parties of vacationers or fishermen. The building is equipped with Wi-Fi and USB internet access. The first floor has a full kitchen, breakfast bar, and dining table. The big family room has leather-recliner furniture, a log entertainment center, HD flat screen satellite TV, a foosball table and a comfortable day bed for 2. Also on the first floor, a full tub/shower bath, a bedroom with queen-size bed; a laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer and a library room with 3 work or play stations. The front entry room doubles as a sleeping area with a comfortable futon bed and a piano. The second floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 4 twin beds, plus a full shower bathroom. The building has an open deck with gas BBQ plus a table and chairs.

Stays of 1 or 2 nights will be charged a one time cleaning fee of $40.

Great place!

Our stay was amazing! Admittedly we spent little time in the cabin as there is so much to see and do nearby. Cabin was extremely roomy, but a bit disjointed. This would be an amazing place to stay with kids.

It was a nice cabin to stay in. Plenty of space for everyone to comfortably hang out. Woke up to a mom and baby moose in the yard, so that was a big hit for visiting family.

Short stay combined with fishing trip

Had 8-9 guys stay here for a few nights on a fishing trip. Cabin was clean, had a plenty of space for 9people and all the comforts of home for doing a home cooked fish fry.

We had an amazing experience. I would describe the cabin location as serene and beautiful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved the log cabin and John, our host was great to provide directions and answer any questions we had! I would definitely stay at this property again. We highly recommend!

Clean and spacious Cabin

Very nice and clean property for a big family. Cabin was supplied with adequate kitchen/bathroom/bedrooms necessities. Outside surroundings were serene and well maintained. Would happily stayed longer if we could.

We loved this place!

This "cabin" had everything that anyone would ever need. A full kitchen, full sized washer and dryer, multiple bathrooms... even a foosball table! Our only regret is that we only stayed here for a short period of time.

Bear Den

This is a great place for large families. Large open kitchen/dining/living area. Real beds for 9. Bedroom on main room for elderly guests. Beautiful lawn and deck. Very clean and well maintained. Easy drive to Homer. Only negative is that it’s close to the highway and can hear road noise when windows are open. We really enjoyed our stay!

Family Fishing Fun

John, on site, was great at responding to questions and needs. Our group actually rented two cabins and we all had a fantastic time. Be sure to read the notebook with do's & don'ts. The property is beautiful, be sure to take a walk around. The pictures show a daybed in the living room but that has been removed. Thanks Bear Paw Adventures for a great vacation!

Nice play to stay and close to Homer

This is a hand made log cabin that has plenty of room for everyone. The kids appreciated the fact that they had their own beds in the Bear Den. They have a great backyard. We took advantage of the great washer/dryer set. This is a big bonus as most rentals do not have this. When you get rained on for several days you run out of dry clothing. This rental is maybe a 15-20 minute drive from Homer. We would stay here again!

AWESOME

WE HAD THE GREAT FORTUNE TO RENT 3 CABINS IN JULY FOR AN EXTENDED FAMILY VACATION. THE CABINS ARE JUST BEAUTIFUL, COZY, WELL STOCKED, AND EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN! FAMILY FROM TEXAS, OHIO, SC, PA, AND ALASKA ALL RAVED ABOUT OUR CHOICE OF ACCOMODATIONS. IT IS SO CLOSE TO HOMER AND THERE IS PLENTY TO DO ON THE PROPERTY. YOUNG ADULTS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF VOLLEYBALL AND NIGHT TIME CAMPFIRES BY THE CABINS. GRILLING OUR FISH AND HAVING A COCKTAIL KEPT EVERYONE HAPPY. MY FAMILY HAS STAYED THERE BEFORE AND HOPE TO RETURN MANY TIMES IN THE FUTURE. MAKE SURE YOU DO A WINE TASTING AT THE LOCAL WINERY. THE OWNER IS ON PROPERTY AND AVAILABLE 24/7- WHAT A BONUS. I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL OF THESE CABINS TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR LODGING IN THE HOMER AREA!

Cute lil log cabin, cozy and homey. First picture on posting is of main house I believe, which houses the host/owners, which is not one of the rental cabins. Bear den does not have a view to volleyball court. Regardless, beautifully maintained property.

Anchor Point-Homer AK

Excellent choice for our stay in Anchor Point and a good place to come back and relax after our bear viewing and fishing trips in Homer. Very clean and plenty of room for our group of 6 adults - plenty of room for larger groups in a very quiet location.
