"We had a super birthday stay at Hope Cottage, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind after Christmas/a hectic few weeks. The decor is gorgeous bright and airy. It was spacious, really well appointed and you can really tell that a lot of thought went into making it feel cosy and welcoming. It’s a cracking spot too plenty within walking distance to please both kids and adults and a great base for exploring the Isle of Wight. So glad we found it, it’s such a gem that we’re already planning...

"Lovely hotel, nice breakfast and beautiful garden with option to take a walk in the woods. Be aware if you don't book directly on the website, you will need to pay extra for spa and pool access which is a bit strange considering you are a guest in the hotel. Pool entry was also timed which is really not great but made sure there are no crowds in the pool."

"Hotel was good, but there is no air conditioning. This meant that we slept with the windows open, and it was very noisy outside - a combination of neighbours in the evening, workers in the buildings below our windows and in the morning, seagulls at dawn. "We was supposed for the cost of the room that no real adequate cooling system was in place , instead - stepping into a room that was hotter than the rest of hotel we had already been and hotter than outside the building . Might I suggest in hotter months that windows are opened and curtains closed to allow circulation of air through the room , it was the most uncomfortable stay we’ve had in a hotel in the summer time . A small fan was just not efficient enough . So to allow some sort of cooler room , windows were opened , curtains closed and fan was put by window to allow cooler air flow , though as I joked to the reception person , I think sleeping in the corridor would be better after he offered me ice though I’m not sure where he expected me to put the ice . The restaurant staff exceeded themselves , so very polite and welcoming . A nice relaxed meal that was 100% out of this world . I would recommmend 100% people to visit hotel for food , but to stay wouldn’t recommend especially in summer months where the hotel does not have any kind of A/C for the cost of the room . Once again - restaurant staff - keep up the good work !!"
